I worked in an auto body shop for over 20years and we used to hire a PDR guy for dings. We went through a handful before we had a great one. Most of them will get 90% out which might be fine for most people. But finding a PDR guy that will do that last 5-10% of finesse work, those are the true artists!

You can also tell a great PDR guy apart when he starts to tell you all about the science behind the metal and paint. Amazing!

Sorry I couldn't write much during the livestream. I came to MTE exactly for PDR and windshield repairing so I could offer that type of job to my customers. By the way, PDR was created in Lithuania by the father of the current president of Stanliner tools, Thomas. Something to ask is if the vehicle isn't scratched then it's fantastic for PDR since the customer doesn't have to repaint the vehicle, else you will have to use something like Dr. Colorchip, or get the panel to get repainted because at least you have saved on what usually bodyshops do on applying a patch of filler and then paint.

@@attention2detailswchelsea I enjoy auto repair / maintenance videos as well as tool related videos. I also like some car detail videos since I just purchased my 4th Subaru - 2023 Forester. What an upgrade from my 2008. Live in NY, so I did a Krown rust protection treatment. Hope to keep the rust at bay.

I’ve had that done a couple of times to vehicles and it’s quite a skill. I never knew the dents were there. And how do you have leaves on your trees in February? 😁
