climbing access to me means an area dedicated to self growth and expression. the idea of public access to these areas makes me so proud of the community I take part in because it means that people care about people other than themselves.

I found out about this film on a random day trip to Chattanooga where my girlfriend and I visited the High Point location there. We stopped by the Rock Creek store to purchase new gear where this film was to be shown that night, but were unfortunately unable to stay for the viewing because of the long drive back home. We just recently got into climbing. We’re 5 months in and absolutely loving it. We introduced my kids to it and they feel the same as we do. Watching this film has really opened my eyes to the importance that groups such as the SCC and the Access Fund play in protecting and procuring areas for climbing, both now and in the future. Thank you for posting this for those of us who were unable to view it. Your hard work paid off, if for no other reason than it has shown me the importance of going from a moral supporter to an active contributor.

Thank you for the kind words Jered! It means a lot to us to see new climbers appreciate all the stewardship efforts that a lot of us take for granted! Creating the film was quite the process, so I can't even imagine how much hard work went into opening the area. Best of luck with all your climbing endeavors, the sport has changed my life and I hope it's a positive experience for your family too.

More climbing access to me means more areas to escape the masses. With two dogs, it’s tough showing up to a crowded crag expecting to have a good time. Thanks for all the work you put into this film and this area!

cody averbeck clear-cuts bluff lines and builds subdivisions. next time you find yourself in the picturesque Sequatchie valley, look up at jasper highlands and thank him for ruining the view
