Dennit Racing - The Rise & Fall

Спорт

How have we gone this long without talking of one of NASCAR's most dominating teams in the 2000's in the Cup Series? With a total of 70 victories, with 6 drivers competing for the team, here is the rise and fall of Dennit Racing. Let's begin.

Who was your favorite driver during Dennit Racing's 8 year run? Personally, despite finishing second more often, I was a Cal Naughton fan. I really enjoyed the colors of his Old Spice car.

I was wondering how the movie's from 2006 and the last season was from 2005. I found out with 2 reasons- 1. The movie was probably filmed in 2005 and released in 2006 2. In 2005, Ford stopped using the Taurus in the races and Chevrolet used the Monte Carlo from 1995-2005 and in 2006 used the Monte Carlo SS. in the movie, they showed the Taurus, Monte Carlo and Charger which were the models of nascars in the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

The stats feel a little overboard but damn this is the best Talladega Nights incorporation I've seen yet 🤣 I wish we could see some teams throw back to the movie but I believe it's Columbia Pictures that owns the paint jobs due to copyright or some legal reason, so it practically means that that ain't happening anytime soon 🙃

A fact of note here: cal naughton jr was also a crew member of Cole Trickle's team during his early years. "Cal naughton" was what Buck Brotherton legally changed his name to... Buck was perpetually hiding from his father's death and the name change helped him to get past that. He later added the "jr" to his name in honor of his father.
