He started so much younger than his father did. This was a young man tapped to replace a Living Legend in Jeff Gordon. He was racing trucks before turning 18. He won rookie of the year and a championship in his first full-time Xfinty ride. You can never replace a Legend anything but living up to Jeff Gordon is impossible to ask of anyone. His father did his best to guide Chase. He was signed by Hendrick Motorsports at 14 years old. The winning establishment of Hendrick to go in to replace Jeff Gordon and another Legend aged terribly in Jimmy Johnson.

@@YankeeDoodle2 Actually, there is not. And with NASCAR, you have NO right to interfere with the media (and than includes anyone with a camera). And in most sports, the simple act of TOUCHING a cameraman or their equipment is grounds for suspension. Which also explains why "language" on crew radios is grounds for penalties.

so stellingbanjodude, nice made up name piss ant, obviously you have no idea how this works, these drivers sign a contract not only to drive but to do publicity also, in the not so distant past quite a few drivers have been fined by nascar for acting like a diva with the press or fans. chase is candy ass thinking he is entitled because of his dad, just because he's having a bad day doesn't give him the right to be rude to anyone, if it weren't for the fans and the media he would be cutting grass somewhere, or do you think he has a talent for something else.
