the blue lever is simply the tank to pump control. Down is usally open, up is usually closed. The intake directly beneath the deliveries goes straight to the pump and the one to the right goes to the tank (Which goes to the pump). The high pressure gauge is for your hosereels and the low for your deliveries (you can switch between high and low, however both can be used in high and only deliveries in low). the compound gauge is the flow of water coming from your water soruce, - is flow is when you are using hard suction to suck water out of a source such as a drain or open body of water, + is for pressure fed supplies such as hydrants etc. you also may find it useful to learn the hand singals, such as water on, water off and more pressure as they can come in handy with a pump running full welt XD

Lawrence, I know you are enjoying playing with your horn😀, Maybe give this a go? With the engine running, switch the horn on via the button on the dash. Try pressing the horn on the steering wheel ( if it's got one? It's been a while since I've driven a Sabre). Depending on what system is fitted on your truck it may turn the horn on/off with one press, or with two short presses will change the tone of the siren. This is the system that's fitted on Scanias. Also their may be a foot switch on the front passenger side footwell that can be used by the officer in charge to switch the siren on off again.

You have the gauges one is compound gauge it will go into minus when drawing up water from lower than the pump and positive when pressure fed or gravity fed :-). The other is for high and low pressure. High comes from the peripheral pump and low of the centrifugal pump low for deliveries and high for hose real.

Fairly simple solution to your leak. Your pump drain at the bottom of the pump is open

'priming wheel' = 'ferodo wheel' Rattling noise is your priming wheel rattling off the drive wheel under it, because there's no pressure in the pump. Your priming wheel is knackered, bits chipped out of it. Please, Please, go and talk to your local firefighters before you do any more damage to that beautiful machine.

Instead of fixing prob there making it worse by playing around the tank needs stripping down and rebuilding, such a dangerous bit of kit in wrong hands, I've seen a small air hose explode so god knows what would happen if a hose that size exploded

When using the pump you might want the blue handle down to let water into the pump because if the is no water you will burn the pump out

You got a hydrant and key , you will fill it a lot faster using that , you will also find the tank you are putting it into is the high volume suction , if you use the hydrant and key you can fill it using any ml hose , 125 ml is better and put it in the bottom left insert

Our crews in North Yorkshire run a short hose between one delivery outlet and one intake connection. This allows water circulate so it doesn't boil in the pipes.

This is insane you're freaking me out you are playing around with some really dangerous amounts of pressure and you don't seem to have any idea how use the equipment How about you ask some of your local firefighters to help you, I am sure they would be willing to help you show off your rig for some BBQ and cold beers maybe find out what Station your Rig came out of and ask some of the guys who used it in action and I bet you would get some great stories and I would think that it would make a great youtube video. So you can show how much you and the community appreciates there hard work keeping the community safe. It's just a idea before someone gets hurt like as simple as a out of control fire hose. I know it is all in fun but be careful. FYI The waterboard unless the fire brigade needs it for real they will hook you up to a fire hydrant for about 100 pounds with a meter for a day so you can get the correct volume of water. Good luck, but I would hate to get the water bill afterwards Take care guys.

My god and jesus christ.. Your suction isn't working? You need to use a Hose that can take a vacuum if you plan on doing suction. otherwise, the hose will just go flat... You can't suck "more" water through a 13mm gardenhose... you will just flatten it, do you not understand that the volume a pump that size requires is so far beyond what your puny garden-hose can supply that it can never supply enough water ?
