    Mailman Didn't Deliver on Sunday..Scottie Pippen got to Karl "Mailman" Malone when he said those words...got inside Malone's head. And it was a Sunday and Jazz could have stole game 1. That hurt...MJ hit the Buzzer Beater in Game #1 in 1997. And in 1998 Game 6 Dagger! In Similar Fashion over B.Russ...We forget STOCKTON had a 3 pointer, that was well Contested by Ron Harper and STOCKTON's shot went in and out and BULL won their 🖐🏻☝️ 6th Championship. As a Jazz Fan...If Malone holds onto the ball and Jazz execute down the stretch and not turn the ball over.. GAME 7! would have been nice to see. But MJ is the Man! He was MR. CLUTCH! GREATEST PLAYER...ALTHOUGH STOCKTON 2 MALONE were my Favorite and Best Duo In NBA HISTORY just Wish we had 1 or both of the CHAMPIONSHIPS in 1997 & 1998. The only thing Missing from both of their Careers. STOCKTON IS "ALL-TIME" LEADER IN ASSISTS & STEALS! ALL-TIME! and Karl Malone is 2nd in ALL-TIME POINTS. He could have passed Kareem Abdul Jabbar if he decided to play a couple more years. THOSE BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCES in 1997 & 1998 were Great...just wish the Utah Jazz could have won at least one of them. Give Credit to MJ and the BULLS. But STOCKTON is the Greatest pure point Guard of all time and Karl Malone..Greatest "POWER" FORWARD of all time. TIM DUNCAN was a Center who played the position of Power Forward/Center...Malone put the POWER in POWER FORWARD. Only missing a CHAMPIONSHIP.

    Actually, Malone came into the series with a ripped up palm from a nasty floor burn against Houston in the WCF. It was an issue for him the rest of the playoffs. Don't know if he broke his hand. But that also happened in the 2002-03 season when Malone was 39. He still averaged 20 points per game, tying Kareem that season with the most 20 points per game seasons in NBA history (17). The broken hand was his shooting hand. Guy was a beast.

    What game was the announcers watching? They keep pretending that Malone is having a great game while having a putrid shooting night. Yeah he was totally owning Rodman while shooting 2 for 8. Then 5 for 14. Ultimately 10 for 22 is a subpar Malone night. He did win the boards on this game though.

  • @anen9332

    @anen9332

    3 жыл бұрын

    Malone dominated the boards against Rodman in both 1997 and 1998. Rodman was held to 7.7 rebounds per game in 1997 and 8.3 rebounds per game in 1998. He very much held Rodman in-check on the boards, which can also be traced by rebounding percentage. Compare that to Rodman's 14.7 rebound per game average against Kemp and the Sonics in 1996.

    this game winner was a set up for the game winner in game six. MJ went clean left on a set play and Russell played him to the right. in game six it was the same scenario and Russell had studied the tape (so had Jordan). he faked left and crossed over, leaving Russell out of view (with a little help). Brilliant.

  • @Milordvega

    Nope, the game-winner in Game 6 of 1997 was the assist to Steve Kerr. What you're thinking of is the Game 6 in 1998, with Jordan making the shot to win the second threepeat.
