    The 90s Bulls had countless amazing defensive plays to seal playoff games just like this, without which they would've lost the game. It was rarely ever just the memorable shot that did it. It wasn't always to do with Jordan, but in a way it was because he tolerated nothing less than greatness from everyone around him. The effort on all of these plays comes from Jordan rubbing off on everyone. That's the difference between him and everyone else. He's the GOAT, without question.

    Toni KUKOC is main reason why the bulls even pulled through in this series. He had 31 points in game 5 when Pippen had a massive slump and even Jordan was arguably playing worse the usual. Even the last shot of game 6 was drawn up for Toni, and MJ ended up taking it .. if KUKOC took that shot no game 6. Now game 6 Toni bailed them out again being the only other player besides mike in double figures which was 15 points (52% of the bulls offence) he was crucial in the bulls second 3peat.

    Even though the '98 Finals is more famous, to me this was a better series. I'd say this might be one of the best NBA Finals ever played between two of the best teams in history. Each team traded 11-point wins and the other 4 games came down to the final buzzer. Plus, unlike '98, this series was tied 2-2 so there wasn't that inevitability of a series that is 3-1.

    80's and 90's were the best decades of the Nba. Most of the teams had their own allstar players, there were team rivalries and competitiveness was on a different level. Now look at the nba today, all-stars are bunched up in 5-10 teams and finalists are easily predictable(for e.g. Cavs and Gsw). I'm a millenial but I still prefer the classics.

    Spurs is a great team in my opinion and gsw, but aside those two teams, free agents made the nba look like a trading system as player to players trade to form superteams.. Against other superteams.. No more consistent team who sticks one for better or for worse! Love the 90s game! Their the best bball nba of all time!

    It was always amazing to watch Jordan improve his fundamentals as his body naturally succumbed to age. Wizards Jordan had some of the best post play and footwork ever, bordering on Hakeem level. Just a fundamentally sound player. I’d love to be able to put old Jordan’s mind into 87 Jordan’s body and see what happens.

    This was probably one of the most exciting NBA Finals series ever. If you see the score either teams won by 2, 6, 1, I mean, was so competitive. I am a die hard Jazz fan but this game 6 was just horrible to watch. We had a chance to tie series again but what da hell John Stockton wanted to pass when the game was on the line to a rookie Shandon Anderson??? WTF! And why B.Russell wanted to pass to him afterwards? But truth to be told, if then had replays Pippen`s touch on rim during Anderson`s shot would gave us the 2 pt lead. And why everyone says Flu game 5 when everybody knows we put poison on MJ`s pizza. No flu but stomach problems which is way worst. First time I ever saw a black bball be palid.

  • @BrandonCuringtonOfficial
    @BrandonCuringtonOfficial2 жыл бұрын

    Pippen himself acknowledged that the Jazz gave the Bulls one hell of a difficult finals series. That's how good the Stockton-Malone era Jazz was: if the '97-'98 finals involved any other team aside from the Bulls, Utah Jazz woulda won two rings already.
