It's a shame that this show feels so dated now, but I guess that's the fate of any current-events-based show in the long run. At the time it was airing, this was arguably the edgiest show on TV - this was where your favorite entertainers came to say "Fuck", because it was the ONLY place they weren't subject to any censorship but their own. I was in my early teens when this was on, and I believe I laughed until I was in actual physical pain while watching this show as much as everything I've watched since then combined. Dennis Miller Live and The Critic are the two shows that hit me with such visceral 90s nostalgia that I'm almost transported there by vivid memories of being that age at that time.

Originally I was in the Marine Corps in the seventies and outside nurses, I didn't see any women in the service. I got out and in 1984 I reenlisted. Now there were women and believe me they were predatory. If these chicks woke, or most likely, dried out and decided the Marines was a mistake for them. The fastest way out for a female was to get knocked up. They didn't seem to care, by whom. I had a wedding ring and no discernable sex appeal and more than one attractive WM made moves on me. Thank God it was only a three month school.

Gays have been in the militaries from it's concecption, however i don't agree with the life style it but, it shouldn't stop people from serving and they should be held to the same standard of conduct as any officer or enlisted personnel!!

Lol I'm always glad I joined and don't ever regret it, but the rules and regs are bullshit sometimes. Most of the time it's the officers trying to make a name for themselves. It makes me hate officers so much, I've met a couple good officers but man, most of them couldn't be in command of a dairy queen.

WOW !I could change a landing gear on a boeing 707 at the ripe old age of 20. I am 29 now and manage 30+ people. I have been to 13 different countries. Lived in tents that YOU wouldnt shit in and am Proud that I have.My ASVAP average is 93 out of 100. He makes us seem like some hapless idiots who have no self motivation. I put out a fire on a burning aircraft. WTF! If you havent been there you do not know. I like what he has to say now (2011) but he was a shit head then. What is he really!

I'm still against gays in the military though, because it only validates the behavior all the more. Most soldiers don't want to be worrying during a war, about their bunkmates having "other interests" instead of potentially saving their lives. The military is about protecting the country and stopping the enemy, not looking for hookups.
