Denmark's New King! Does Danish Abdication Put Pressure on Charles? Lilibet: Elizabeth II's Fury
Did you know today is the first day since 1730 without a female monarch reigning anywhere in the world? Did you also know every Danish king since 1513 is named alternately Christian or Frederik? Royal Historian and Broadcaster Rafe Heydel-Mankoo reports on the abdication and succession of Queen Margrethe II and King Frederick X of Denmark, Europe's oldest monarchy.
He also discusses the new revelations from Robert Hardman's biography, stating that The Queen was furious that the Sussexes claimed she had given her blessing for them to name their daughter Lilibet.

Rafe is exquisitely magnificent and an authority on matters Royal. He is super gorgeous and adorable.
This is a family haunted by the king who didn't do his duty (Edward VIII). Charles III said he would do his duty for as many years as God grants him. William V and George VII will be king in their turn. Speculation about it is pointless.
I had a neutral or even slightly positive view of the Sussexes until that punch in the gut. NO need to analyse. It was wholly and completely inappropriate to give The QUEEN'S personal name, a name she said was the one she felt was hers personally vs the one used in her role, to that child. I have to say it was a very American way of thinking and not proper. It was 'cute' and 'cool' and very on point with a 'brand' mentality and wholly insensitive. Perhaps no harm was intended, but the lack of understanding was shocking. That was my real clue that the detractors had a point.

It not advisable but King Frederick X will be a good Monarch so horrible Republic unlikely to happen in Denmark.

As he is a new King, no. We don't know why Queen Margarethe decided to abdicate. Maybe she has a health issue? Maybe she just wants to have a rest? She didn't do it when Queen Elizabeth was still alive because that word was anathema to her. It would be to Charles too.

I think the king should be spear heading the assault in any wars we are involved with.

The British monarchy is all about retaining ownership of their massive land banks together with their loyal Dukes, Earls and Lords whose land holdings have passed to them since their conquest and confiscation in 1066. It's all about the land and their fear of losing it.

Solicitors, bank officials, estate agents and such slimey people also hang on to land like dogs with bones. They are the modern day land bank holders. Royalty pass on the land to descendants as heritage. So it not exclusively a habit of Royals to have lot of land
