Trust me. There are kids who can behave and perform better than their parents who just old enough but not wise. My father was in the insurance line for 20 years but he never protected his life or his family. Most of his clients were rich people who has no idea of insurance protection. He workout financial plans for them, their family and business but completely forgot about his own family and kids. That 's alright. At least with his 20 years experience, expertise and knowledge, he could have at least educated his children about insurance products to prepare them for a secured financial future. He knows a lot but his knowledge was no use for his own family. Now you know the reason why, i don't look up to him.

@@VideoFanatic02 of course it would be mild. In this one, Denise went to her parents, laid out her plan, suddenly had to deal with her parents' reservations, got a bit entitled, then Claire was able to bring her down a peg this way. Denise involved them the entire step of the way. Vanessa, on the other hand, lied to her parents, showed some incredibly bad judgement, and yet still didn't realize how severe what she did was when she tried to get them to punish her just so she could have it over with. Still, in either scenario, I hate to think what my mother (RIP) would have done. I'm 48 now and it still makes me shudder.

That little thing Denise keeps saying under her breath as Clair is talking to her would've got me knocked to floor twice while I was still on it. My mama would've forgot all about her speech and spoke to me thru a busted lip. Denise was very disrespectful in this scene. I think she was mad about somethin in real life and brought it to work.

"She was mad about something and brought it to work" hunh She was in character. Denise (not Lisa Bonet) was mad cuz she didnt get her way. She gave attitude as teens tend to do. It was written for her to have an attitude. She stopped once Claire gave that last line. Having said that in that time, that kinda backtalk would have made me lose my teeth but this was a family show lol

Yep. Good parents do good things for their kids. It takes kids becoming adults and working on their own to truly understand that.

As much as I enjoyed the Cosby Show - what upsets me is none of the kids weren't that interested in pushing themselves to better their education to be a professional? Some felt a bit entitled to do as they wanted. Too much money being given can cause this attitude.

Denise Huxtable, Lisa Bonet of that time period, was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Especially with her straight hair combed forward. She is one of the few women I give a perfect 10.

Scenes like this show how great a team Cliff and Clair were. They were true partners in their marriage. They never let the kids pin them against the other and they never went behind the other's back and they never ever would allow the kids to disrespect or talk back to the other. THIS is a healthy marriage. Team work through good and bad times! We never see this today, and genuine Black love has all but disappeared.
