Denied Fuel 1200km From Home... 4x4 Touring/Overlanding the Queensland Outback, Australia | Ep #1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The first episode of the Black Stump Outback Special is here. This three part series will see us travel over 4000km to some of QLD's least visited and most remote four wheel drive destinations. Featuring long dusty highways, epic campsites and a proper thrashing of our cars on sand dunes, it's probably gonna be worth sticking around to watch this one (even though there's no Patrols in it).

I really enjoy the your channel, keep up the hard work and awesome videos! The Td42 GQ build series and Td42 videos are my favorite video by far on your youtube channel! Love all the videos tho, keep it up 👍😎👊
Great work boys. As soon as the 150km Covid limit was lifted I punchd out through to Birdsville, went via Hell Hole Gorge, but missed Idalia and Welford. Definitely putting them on the bucket list for next time. Keep it up!

Yeah for a small car they can certainly drink the fuel, might also have something to do with the fact that Darcy was sitting over 4500rpm for most of this trip ahaha
go Queensland up the out back love it all day long
Throw away those jerry can nozzles and get a simple funnel. Or a jiggler hose which i always keep in my toolbox

amazing vid, keen as when vic lifts there restrictions
Bit of middle kids, respect
6:30 bit of a td5 land rover noise their.
production quality is awsome on this new series, how do you get away with using all these australian bands without getting copyright striked though?
@123mj1234

Thanks mate. You only get copyright strikes if you monetise the video - if you're not trying to make money, you can use basically any music and the money gets paid to the artists instead.
Great video mate. As a Jimny owner, I'm impressed with the consumption of that white Jimny. Tire size? I see that he likes to flat out, keep your rpm below 3k. I can make clear 450 km with a full tank.
@123mj1234

Thanks mate. He is running 30 inch tyres and was averaging a bit over 300km to a tank, probably because he had to drive quite fast to stay with the convoy.

I know this is old but to make sure all the friends have the same autonomy, you could have two extra petrol jerry cans, one at each ute. His fuel, but you carry it around for him due to the minimalistic room the Jimny has.
if it wasn't for that jimny this would have been such a good watch ;D but i wouldn't recommend anyone take a petrol jimny with big tyres to the outback
How close did the jimney come to running out of go go juice?
@123mj1234
3 жыл бұрын
You’ll have to wait til the next episode 👀 Nah it was cutting it pretty close, he used all of the jerry cans, and had less than a 1/4 of a tank left when we made it to Windorah if I remember correctly
Where’s your safety gear for the chain saw.
Was there a story behind why ol mate wouldn't sell you fuel?
@123mj1234
3 жыл бұрын
Nope never found out why, the locals just said he’s a weird bloke and wouldn’t serve us. My best guess is he’s retired, doesn’t like travellers or didn’t want to catch covid 🤷♂️
What fuel consumption do you get out of your bt50s mine sits at around 13.5/100 so the 80l tank don't go far....
@123mj1234
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s exactly what mine uses too, untuned auto on 295/70r17. Ryan’s is manual and tuned, and uses around 9L/100 on the highway with 33s though.
