Love the reaction, this new EP from DD is probably my favorite work of hers even including her 'other' persona. One thing though, it sounds like your mic is hella bass-boosted. If I turn the volume up enough to hear the song, your fog-horn audio output blows my ears out lol.

Karen really does like her upbeat and aggresive raps but it feels like she shines brighter when its an emotional rap thats about her mental state. Her older ones like Hazy Skyscraper and Soundless is one of those great ones that I can think of, but she definitely knocked it out of the park with Dark Hour where you can hear her improvement especially in the singing parts. All in All, my order of favorites: 1. Fake ass gold (for its overall message of to never give up and theres treasure that you overlook like friends and family) 2. dark hour (her cooling down and thinking about what she really wants and feels, an escape to reality for a bit) 3. Wanting getting wanting (her saying *im back btches and ill never stop my drive*) 4. take the bait (her diss track to the twatters that keep harrassing her on twitter)

I agree I enjoy the emotional tones to her music as well! As fun as her upbeat songs but you do definitly get more connection to her with her deeper songs. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Her flow on Take the Bait definitely sounds like Em, that influence was the first thing I noticed too. Which makes sense since shes a big fan of his music.

IKR, DD reminds me of a young Em, flow wise.

Yeah. The basic jist is that when Take the Bait was first uploaded, it had a bunch of points just... had the audio drop out, almost like a radio censor, but for seemingly inconsequential words. When it first hit, I was more than a little confused, considering she put the lyrics as text on the screen anyway.

I've seen a few reactions of you in the past. I see that you clearly like Demondice but when you said that dark hour doesn't sound like her I have to say I disagree. I heard a lot of DD in that track, actually some of my favourite stuff from her is the songs that sound like "disappointed love songs" even when they talk about other topics.

demondice was my number 1 last year too!! haha

For me Wanting, getting, wanting and Fake ass gold are tied for my favorite. But it’s so hard to pick because their all top tier songs.
