These things hits hard. I lost the only love of my life on the day I was about to propose her after loving her for 5 years before that day and it was a surprise for her so, I called her to my place and she drove 5 hours and met a car accident just one city away from ny place and passed away right there and I blamed myself for her death for 8 years and kind of still feels a little bit of guilt. I cut off from the world like Giyu. Became a big time introvert, never allowed anyone else close to my heart again, never told anyone about this except one friend who is my best friend now and Now, after 9 years I am doing much better and no matter how much I recovered but it will be in my heart forever. I still have her ring which I wear in my finger as a symbol to always keep her with me and will always going to wear till I die.

Tanjiro and Giyu's relationship is so heartwarming. They need each other and each saved each other from their lowest point. A true family bond even without a blood connection.

Giyu had a kind of survivor's guilt. I felt like I was the only one alive. The same was true for Tanjiro. Purgatory died and I was brought back to life. That's why the Master probably thought that these two could sympathize with each other and get along well with each other.

Agree. Giyu's back story should have been longer to include the sister story as well. But I guess they needed the time to include some very important foreshadowing.

as a manga reader, i am so excited for the next episodes. this season will have lots of crying over backstories. however, next season will be a lot sadder. even more backstories. there's even one little moment I'm waiting on. it might be in the next episode?? i can't wait a week though. I'm impatient. I'm surprised I even waited or the first episode without absolutely going insane.
