I love how unintentionally funny Giyuu is😅😂🤣 He is a great straight man to Shinobu and Tanjirou quirkiness and goofiness, seeing him and Tanjirou hanging out was so very nice to see.

8:04 love how Sabito’s pull up is similar to when Giyuu pulled up to save Tanjirou from Rui, only difference is we see Sabito from the front and Giyuu from the back and same sword form too

Tanjiro's behavior makes sense when you consider that he is a village boy where everyone knows each other and casually drop by each others homes and share meals growing up together.

Button-eyed Tanjiro is a menace (in the best way) 😂

I can’t help but always fail to spot him, he looks like such a background character

Giyuu has big survival guilt and self-esteem issues, seeing his backstory was very nice but also sad and heartbreaking. The part about how he lost his sister really got to me, it really sweet how his haroi is a representation of two of the most important people in his life and how he lost both of them brutally and tragically. The way Tanjirou consistently but sweetly pestered Giyuu was so funny and heartwarming. Tanjirou just has a way with people, the young man is just pure sweetheart. I also saw how Giyuu mentioned Shinobu as well Samoo. That boy is a true Tsundere.

I remember in the mugen train when Tanjiro ask the crow of what every hashira think about Rengoku. Giyu's response was "he often speaks to me" Those little times Giyu felt he's not alone.

Giyu lost everyone. He lost his parents to disease and then his sister tried to take care of him. After his sister died, he tried to tell people she was killed by a demon, but people literally thought he was crazy so they sent him away to live with a relative who was a doctor. He ran away, got lost in the wilderness, and almost died in the cold but was found by Urokodaki. Sabito dying was the last straw. He distanced himself from everyone and has been suffering from grief and survivor’s guilt this whole time. It’s honestly incredibly sad. 💔

I might be wrong and I welcome anyone who knows to correct me: I think Shinobu was mad because she was told to work alongside Lady Tamayo, a demon. She might’ve learn to accept Nezuko but so far she was the only exception, she still holds a great grudge towards demons.

18:15 indeed both sisters were alive when they found Kanao. Think it was even Kanae (older sister) who gave her that coin Kanao used to make decisions before. (As for the similar first name, but Kanao’s family name being Tsuyuri and not Kocho, despite being brought up as Kanae’s and Shinobu’s little sister, I think they basically let Kanao pick her own name) We didn’t really see earlier exactly who killed Kanae, but since they brought it up again it seems like we are going to find out 👀

Tanjiro talking with Sabito and Makomo (they are not related, just orphans rescued by Urokodaki), is not related too much with Tanjiro being the main character or special in some way. In Shinto religion, the Shimenawas are the ropes that are around objects, like shrines, trees or in this case the big rock, this turn the object in a Yorishiro wich then can atract spirits. Kodamas is the name for the spirits that inhabits trees and Iwakura for rocks, like sabito and makomo

Nah they've actually slowed down the pacing quite a bit. This only covered 1.5 chapters. Lowest number they've ever done

Giyuu's actually so cute hahaha! I love when they go full on chibi and derpy faces and trust me, the manga has a shit ton of those cute faces. I can't wait to see all the interactions blossom into beautiful relationships😩

I like how this is called a training arc, but so far, we haven’t really seen much training. Personally, I don’t have a problem with that because to use several episodes to focus on actual training can be really monotonous. If you ask me, it only works if we get what we’ve been getting so far - getting to know characters better.
