@@whiffletaco If you enjoy thoroughly commented battle scenes as if the script author and director treat you like a room temperature IQ imbecile who cannot comprehend what is going on on the screen, unnecessary comedy that ruins the atmosphere, characters whose only traits is whining and fanservice and nothing-new stories, then, of course, you would enjoy Demon Slayer. If you want to watch a story about how talent and hard work can make someone famous and rich, and how easy it is to lose everything you have when someone can just take it by force, you should watch Berserk. You can choose between original 90s adaptation or 2012 one depending on the fact whether you tolerate oldschool animations or not. Don't watch beyond the eclipse scene - everything else is adapted poorly, and you may want to read the manga instead (but it gets worse anyway since the eclipse, making a turn from a glorious dark fantasy tale into a gory shounen that features futanari horses)

Allow me to bring to your attention the musical genius and trickery happening at the crescendo at 3:00. The song comes back alive from the chill bridge with three 4/4 bars of snare hammering (count 1- 2-3-4 with the snare at 3:02 to 3:07, you'll see), then the 4th bar with the bass lick and guitar are basically screaming "HERE COMES THE DROP", and at this point you're ready to headbang, we've all heard this move in a million other songs, we heard it at 1:01 this very song... But! The song pulls the rug from under you with a sneaky 1 beat-long drum fill (3:09), making the tempo suddenly feel 5/4, really trips you up and makes you pay attention before the crash cymbal explodes announcing beat 1 of the new bar (3:10)... only there are just 3 beats before it goes back to regular 4/4 bars accented on 1, a realization which completely resignifies what you just heard (it should click right after 3:11) as your brain hurriedly retroactively processes that there was no 5/4 bar at all, it's all 4/4 with a completely unexpected drum fill in beat 1 and a crash in beat 2 (which is just not something you ever see). It breaks musical conventions to surprise us, and if you don't smile as you hear it you're dead inside.

At first, when I didn't watch KnY, I only listened to music (because Gurenge was so popular), so at that time I only felt it was good music. I have watched this anime 4 times before this, but the first watch was by far my favorite. I still really love the show every time I watch it though and I really love the Sabito and Makomo episode the most.

I really turned the volume of My tv into full when I Heard demon slayer theme plays at the 2020 Olympics Closing Ceremony
