Hi, my name is Anthony, I work with Bill's Equipment Supply and I'm going to show you the operations of our Genie 34/20 electric tow boom. This is a refer to the operator's manual and safety book inside the compartment and we will also when you rent this machine go over operation instructions with you. So, the first thing you want to do is after you get this to your house, or your residence, before you unhook from your truck, is set your parking brake.
From there, you can start unchaining the boom from your truck. Chains off, bring these up off the ground so they're not in the way. Then you pull your collar pin out. Slide the collar back and it releases the hitch from the tongue of the ball. From there you want to put your leg jack down. Lock it back into place. And start cranking down and raise the boom off the hitch of your truck.
Now you're gonna pull your emergency stop out make sure it's out. Turn your key to the right to your ground control functions. Your blue and yellow are the operations of the up and down of the machine. The solid black one here is for the self-levelers of your four outriggers. That's the only thing it will be used for. You will press the black one and the yellow one at the same time and all four of the outrigger arms will come down simultaneously.
And once these outrigger arms touch the ground, the indicator lights will light up saying that the outriggers have contact with the ground. You keep pressing, holding this button in this machine will jockey itself to level itself out. The steady tone you hear means the machine is leveled. Now I'm going to show you guys how to put on a harness...

Excellent video!
Thank you
Thank you ❤
Great demonstration. Straight to the point without a bunch of jibber jabber.
How far can you extend this thing out and not have it tip over?
How is it so silent?
Good
Do you have a job for manlift operator
what is the price of one of these
Can this be operated while hitched to the truck?
@dmileshc8751

No, that will overload the outrigger cylinders bc they will have to lift your truck instead of just the machine.
W video
it would be nice if the front jack was hydraulic too

About $27,000
How far out and high can it reach before tipping
@usmcp

The 34 means it goes up 34 feet high, I don't recommend doing it in wind or soft dirt under the feet. The arm only comes out about 7 feet from under a properly leveled machine, so height is a bigger factor. It's safer to reposition the lift instead of leaning it out too much

@@usmcp if it wasn’t equip to go out that far wouldn’t the outreach be limited? I do agree though that high winds are an in calculated risk factor

@@KollynJ Take it from someone who maxed it out, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. The slack in the gearing intensifies even the smallest movements while in the bucket, so wind or soft footing would allow the undulations to tip it over if ignored.
If Anthony's goal is to demonstrate how to operate this machine, he needs to show which buttons he's selecting and what they do from the ground level rather than raising the boom up where they can't be seen.
a hunting blind, nice
This video was just ok. I had trouble following his rather straight forward explanations and dialogue, and without any hip hop or fakeno music in the background to separate the dialogue from, things got kind of confusing. I was also disturbed by his lack of greeting me with "hey guys, how's it going", and apparent insistence on not demanding that I "like, follow, and click the bell". It was all kind of disorienting. I mean honestly, what even was the point of this video? Oh well. If only KZread were full of helpful, concise, and exceedingly helpful videos like this by clear experts in their field, life might be so much better.
