Thanks so much for your honest review. I’ve been wondering if all that hardware on the front of the bag would scatch and couldn’t find anyone who would comment on it. Love the look of the bag, it’s so cute! But having so many marks and scratches on the hardware makes it a bag that I won’t buy and will just admire from afar.

The leather seems to be a scratch magnet too. I didn’t like that not only it’s too big and bulky (thus, not minimalist at all) I strongly believe it will have lots of scratches after some time. That hardware is really 🤢 off putting.

What are your thoughts on Songmont bags...I love the price point and quality seems good.

Hi! It definitely will - I haven’t worn it enough to get any but it’s a really soft leather

The leather is really soft!

They need to implement some upgrades in this bag..like feet & using grained leather. Smooth leather tends to scratch easily, which is a deterrent for me. I don’t see this colour on their site. Where does this bag ship from?

I got this from Saks! Yes- it came with those scratches so they discounted it 20% off what I paid so I believe it ended up being like a little under $200 but the hardware is not really able to be avoided because there is so much of it - the smooth leather is actually more durable than I expected

Omg! You can see all of the scratches on the gold hardware. Not good! How much?

I've seen a ton of reviews for DeMellier and each time, the gold hardware has a lot of scratches. I have bags much cheaper and bought at outlet stores, some 2 years old, and there's not a scratch on the hardware.

I like the design, but the hardware is a bit too much. Like it can catch finger print and get scratch easily. Give it a few years, the hardware will look dull and unpleasant to wear anymore.
