Second story: OP can be mad at the fact that her friend lied to her face about the baby shower, BUT.... OP is the AH for telling her friend that she hopes she loses her baby. You do have the right to be mad but to say you hope she loses her baby is not right.

I don't care what a person does to you, says to you etc. You never EVER wish harm on a baby!

I know what the brother did was just sick but as a parent it's their job to get him help not throw him out. He's still a minor. She's asking too much. She should be happy that they are doing something and not trying to sweep it under the rug like a lot of other families.

Story 2: While I do not blame OP for harboring resentment to her friend and she has every right to be upset, it doesn’t justify nor excuse her wishing harm upon a baby. Pretty disrespectful to exclude someone just because your other friends don’t really like her and then to make her buy things for you as if it’s nothing. I’m willing to bet it could be OP’s friend associating OP with certain traumas (Miscarriage) and it’s common for some people to distance themselves from things or people who aided them through their struggles but like with OP, that doesn’t justify nor excuse her actions. IMO, both sides are wrong and should apologize but I guess OP’s “friend” hasn’t emotionally/mentally developed to know that yet as she seems to prefer to be partying. That actually makes me worry and fear for her child, that poor kid is gonna be stuck with an immature mom who hasn’t gotten out of her teen phase and family who enables that behavior. All this because OP rejected his brother, her friend’s mom “reason” made me lose braincells
