Before anyone says "but their style wouldn't fit the game"(because I see this everytime someone says something like this): I agree, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be hired. They can still help a ton with simpler animations if they ever get the job. If this is the "norm" to them, then I doubt they'd have an issue transitioning into a more simpler style. Should be easier for them, actually. Again, IF they ever get hired.

@@Deltakryzz This. Yea, super smooth animations wouldn't fit the feel, but it's already been shown how much character the creator can put into even the simpler poses. Having another great artist/animator on the team can only really help.

@@parkerpeter9218 that is exactly NOT what I'm doing! I just think their animations are great and would fit the style of the game very well since Toby is hiring people to work in the game. I mostly think these animations are way too Overanimated™ for the actual game, but this one would've fit pretty well with a detailed prophecy section. I really like Toby's concise animation direction, it pops much better than if it was smoother like in the other videos!

@@conicthehedgehog9166 Toby increases overall quality when something important is happening: this doesn't mean the game is rushed, and if you think that way because you saw one cutscene with a few more frames... that seems like a YOU problem.

0:41 This is the most impressive part of the smooth edition. We actually get to see what is going on that is being told through the cutscene.

Honestly I could kind of see Deltarune being real life part of some realistic prophecy it sounds an awful lot like greek mythology was kind of mixed into Undertale and Deltarune in fact the pillars in the ruins from Undertale look like greek pillars same pillars our house has.

This felt like playing the game for the very first time; Absolutely incredible.

1:06 this scene is cool because when they present each of the 3 heroes, each one has another tone of sound like you can sense it when it says the monster its kinda heavy and powerful, and when it's the human it sounds glorious and saint, and when its the prince it sounds mysterious and magical

I love how Ralsei's flames move, that's amazing

I have Goosebumps just seeing this cutscene in a whole new light The original art and music were already amazing but seeing them in motion im just in awe

like the whole game just has extremely smooth sprites? i mean sure it might look good, but the base animation in the game is about 5 fps (so that Toby could get this game out in time) and in 5 fps it might be a bit hard to get more details. so i think that animating the game in 60 fps would take a lot of time and it'd be hard to smooth out the frames, especially because you are basically turning 1 frame into 12 frames

Why can't Toby Fox just put that to the game?

The actual lightning effect instead of the cracks in the sky gives the sight a new meaning, I just assumed it meant the darkness would surround the world and crack open and explode like when mercury breaks. Also the effect of having the three heroes appearing at world edge like how Rouxls Kaard teleports works wonders.

The smoothness of this animation leads me to believe that this must be drawn in traditional style before being converted to pixel-art. There's zero chance that this was drawn purely in pixel form. The blending is just too perfect.

It's not that simple, due to the income Toby gets probably can't support that many people, and 2. if we hired everyone who was said should be hired, there would be millions of people hired, 3. Toby doesn't have a big corporation, and probably is still living off of purchases of undertale, although being a hit game, 1 successful title among multiple platforms, isn't enough to let a AAA company survive/big company.

I spent an embarrassing amount of time searching for the source of the soundtrack. This animation captivated me so much, that it made the rendition of the original track sound like a remix. It's the version I needed to see, great job!

True, but he doesn’t do much in the first two chapters, he does help Kris and Susie out of the capsules, but doesn’t help in any other way. He can’t survive in different dark worlds.
