On April 12th, 2004 four Italian contractors were taken by a fringe group within Baghdad. Operation Objective Medford was a covert mission conducted by the U.S. Army's Delta Force to rescue the men. The operation, carried out in early June 2004, was a testament to the meticulous planning and precision of Delta Force, renowned for their counter-terrorism expertise.
Intelligence indicated their location in a fortified compound in the Sunni Triangle, a hotbed of insurgent activity. Delta Force, operating under the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), swiftly mobilized.
The rescue mission involved a multi-pronged approach, with aerial surveillance, ground assault teams, and support from other U.S. Special Operations units. Under the cover of darkness, Delta operators infiltrated the compound using helicopters and ground vehicles. The element of surprise was crucial; the assault teams breached the compound's defenses with speed and precision.
A fierce firefight ensued, but the Delta operators, leveraging their superior training and equipment, neutralized the insurgents. The hostages were quickly located and evacuated. The mission was a success, demonstrating Delta Force's capability to execute high-risk rescues with minimal casualties. The Italian hostages were safely returned, marking a significant achievement in U.S. Special Operations history.

I like that Delta didn't just go in and get the hostages, they were like, "Hey. You guys are coming, too." And just straight up yoinked the hostage takers, too.

Dude delta is so scary. Even as an American it shakes me to the core that a team can enter a home and secure it 17 seconds after their feet literally touch the ground.
Via a friend I've gotten to meet an active Delta member. Talked about a bunch of stuff but 1 convo sticks out. I said the good old "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" line. He responded with "That's retarded. Fast is fast, go fast and don't suck." 17 seconds for a whole site secure...guess that phrase wasn't a joke.
The rest of the world: "The U.S. is the worst" . Shit goes down - The rest of the world: "Please help us U.S."

Because no other country has enslaved and colonized people At their height, the territory that was conquered by the Arab Muslims stretched from Iberia (at the Pyrenees) in the west to India (at Sind) in the east; Muslim control spanned Sicily, most of the Middle East and North Africa, and the Caucasus and Central Asia.... seems like alot of "colonizing" to me
