I worked on the film clip for this song. It was then when I realised how much BS was being written about her. She was a pleasure to be around, generous and graceful. She greeted and acknowledged every single person on set and walked around during breaks in filming with Tupperware filled with lollies and sweet treats for everyone. Then when filming was finished she walked off set and went straight into hospital. My respect for her is infinite.

That must have been a memorable time in your life. I remember the exact moment the public turned against Delta. The media ripped her to threads when the first time she became a judge on one of those singing shows. She came across really bitchy and jealous of a talented young singer. The papers made a huge issue about it. I have to admit I too was a fan and this show made her look like a real bitch.

I met her once, ever so briefly. I was working in a little suburban shop when she walked in. I showed her and her friend a few of our products and made her laugh. I didn't make a fuss because she seemed to be trying to keep a low profile and I tried to respect it. She was very genuine and strikingly beautiful.

I went to a concert of hers two nights ago. She's so talented. But I noticed that every time someone yelled out "I love you Delta" she responded with "I love you too" or "I love you more." She's beautiful inside and out :)

According to Delta she had started cancer treatment when filming this music video. Such a great video especially while under going chemotherapy and radiation.

This is my favourite song from D and to this day, I still love it. Can't wait for her concert next week....

Her second album “Mistaken Identity” was incredible. I have so many favourites, but Fragile, Nobody Listened and Disorientated are incredible.

I did Fragile for my year 11 music performance - the topic was Australian music and it was a toss up between that and Sweet About Me by Gabriella Cilmi (my music teacher wanted me to do that song). Ended up sticking with Fragile and got 20/20 for it. It was a good decision.

I adored 'Mistaken Identity'. Listened to it constantly while I was doing university assignments (I was in design so most of those were self-portraits for my drawing elective), making that awkward transition from high schooler teen to young adult, the lyrics resonated so much.

"Who is that person on my wife!" LOL Yes, our Delta is stunningly beautiful! And the song is too.

Delta is an amazing talent. she's not only beautiful & a lovely singer, she writes her own songs as well. & acts. She actually played Olivia Newton-John in a biopic about Livvy called Hopelessly Devoted To You. I also believe they may be distant cousins. She's also a lovely person who has overcome cancer & losing her voice. Why she isn't a huge worldwide star is beyond me.

I think Delta’s beautiful heart shines through which makes her even more appealing

Still my favourite album of hers! I’m Canadian, but she was very popular in the area I lived in just outside of Vancouver (we had a lot of Aussies living and working the ski/snowboarding scene there, and their music followed them). This album just brings back so many high school memories. 🥰

I remember meeting Delta about 19 years ago at a live performance and CD signing. I was surrounded by 16 year old girls.... I was 26. 🙄😳😂

i remember when this song came out and afew days later her cancer news came out, so listening now to song it's sort of haunting cause I remember the news stories at the time

Delta was 15 years old when she signed with SONY. And released her first single when she was 17 years old. The first single Born To Try was from the album called Innocent Eyes. It was a hugely successful album and all the songs that were released from the album, were hits also. This song Not Me, Not I, it was the 4th single released from the album she was around 19 years old in this video. You should buy the album Nick 😁you would love it 🥰 I've had my copy since it was released and I still listen to it regularly. It's one of those albums that never goes out of style, such a pleasure to always listen to. She has such a beautiful soul and kind caring heart, like yourself. I'm sure she would be very flattered to hear that you feel, she is your wife in spirit 😊🙏💜💜💜

They tried to turn her into a pop princess before Neighbours and she released a single called I Don’t Care, which was VERY different to everything else she did. It’s sad how labels try to turn performers into something they’re not. I’m glad she got more autonomy over her career after Neighbours

This song was a huge deal at the time. She had just been diagnosed with Cancer and filmed this just before starting treatment.

I love your reaction videos of Delta... Because she finally gets the admiration she deserves! I've been following Delta since 2003...but from the Netherlands not Australia. In those early years you could hear here on the radio in the UK and some European countries. Such a shame nowadays nobody knows her here anymore. She is the best vocalist and songwriter ever. She writes about life, not only about love like almost every artist does. She helps her listeners to empower with her lyrics and music. For me, her voice has only become better since her speach issues. You can listen to a lot of more recent live performances, also of this song. And her bunkerdown sessions she did during lockdowns.... The sound was not so good but there you really see and hear the magic she creates just instantly. She is very much on fire now with her partner, creating new music. An other side of her? Listen to Eve from Australia day. And her first album has a 10 years anniversary edition which is even beterrrrr!

Fabulous album👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Delta had a live session from home every thursday evening during our long lockdown which i watched every week. It was great...she would play requests and interact with viewers comments. Loved it...missed it when we opened up again. ❤❤

Maybe the most enjoyable reaction of yours - am coming back for seconds :) Or thirds. Her story is amazing - she had a battle with cancer early in her career and later on couldn't speak properly (as you saw) after surgery on her glands. The media in Australia is almost all tabloids and they've jumped on her over boyfriends etc, but for me she stands as the best ever female singer from Australia. And hopefully with many more years to come! :)
