And the saddest thing about Delta's career is the crap she copped in the media with tall poppy syndrome in Australia. Copped more than any bloke of similar talent.

Delta has tried so hard over the years to break into the worldwide market but for some reason they won't give her a fair go. That's good for us here in Australia though. We have loved her for the past 20 years and will love her for as long as she lets us. She is a National Treasure... The rest of the world is truly missing out.

Info on Delta. She released this song when she was 15/16. She become a huge star. She suffered leukemia a few years later. She had to have surgery a few years ago and lost the ability to speak. She had to learn to talk and sing again. Listen to “Paralyzed” to hear the story of that. She’s incredible.

We love Delta… at just 18 years of age she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and became a cancer survivor, in 2018 she had surgery to remove a salivary gland, which left her with paralysis to her tongue and she had to learn how to speak again. She is an inspirational human with singer / songwriter talent in epic proportions - she is an Aussie Icon!

To be Culturally Sensitive only Men are traditionally allowed to play The Didgeridoo. I remember hearing an incredibly talented Aboriginal Little Boy playing the Didgeridoo He was Amazing. His Dad had taught Him and He was playing it on the street. That was at Kuranda a small Village in the Rainforest just outside Cairns. Tourists flock there to their Markets and Butterfly 🦋 House etc. It was School Holidays and He made Himself quite a bit of Money that day. There's a Scenic Railway with Old Fashioned Carriages and Skyrail with it's Cable Cars. That travels between Cairns and Kuranda.

@@PrincessNarz Wait …. that wasn’t fun, it was just very interesting and informative. Here’s an actual fun fact - The bare nosed wombat shits cubes. Zoologists say they mark their territory with turds, territory that is often strewn with boulders. It’s thought that they evolved the bowel muscles to generate this geometric feculence, in order that having evacuated the anus they’ll not roll off of the slanted rocks. They are the only known animal to have evolved this gleeful ability. - I have a feeling you’ll find yourself repeating this treasure of wombat digestion with friends, family, neighbours and coworkers on a much more frequent basis than your undoubtedly interesting and informative fact outlined above, due mainly to the enjoyable jollification contained within its sphere of objective particulars. Enjoy, and you’re welcome 🙂

That didj is our instrument for all means of our Aboriginal culture and she sung with Uncle G and a culture that is over 60,000 yrs. It's the earth sound from my ancestors and nothing speaks to this then our didgeridoo and we are trying too 🖤💛❤️🙏

Mate you have only just skimmed the tip of the ice berg. I feel for you Americans missing out on Delta's voice. This normally does not have a didgeridoo but this was for a special. She is the most amazing person. She was diagnosed with cancer at 18 and yet stayed in the Queen Street Mall for 8 hours to sign autographs and take photos with fans. She's also recently had surgery which left her tongue paralyzed (there's a song by the same name which you MUST listen to) Delta is truly incredible 💗

The original australians would select a long straight length of tree, cut it down and burn it strategically to leave a hollow. Then use it to make a plethora of sounds, mimicking the sounds around them. Breathing in a circular technique so sounds are constant and the performer doesn't pass out. Sadly most didgeridoos sold to tourists are indonesian bamboo knock-offs, made with machines.

Just as an extra when listening to Delta Goodrum.....background.....Goodrem, 36, had to relearn how to speak and sing, and a song she wrote about the experience, Paralyzed, appears on her latest album. After shooting to fame as a 15-year-old and starring in long-running soap Neighbours, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and treated in hospital aged 18.16

This is a very low key version. This is from a Global Citizen concert. That may be why the didgeridoo is included
