Delonghi Magnifica pressure problem
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Water pressure seems to be lower so coffee comes drips very slow and cannot be tamped as much as it used to. I changed the ULKA water pump but still no go. I'm open to advice please!

I had the exact same problem. your video saved me 25$ of buying a new pump + After reading the comments here I saw a suggestion to run some vinegar. I filled the water tank with vinegar (around 1.2 liters) and activated cleaning procedure, Vouallah! Everything Is Perfect now, no more low pressure!!!

Not trying to nitpick but a new pump would likely come in handy sooner or later anyway, they also sometimes completely fail suddenly so it's not a bad idea to have a spare one.
I had the same problem - no pressure coming out of water spout, and very slow dripping for coffee. I ran white vinegar thru the water spout for a while, which produced great pressure, and also fixed my dripping problem. Machine works great now. I plan on using vinegar to descale from now on. My water source is a well and has a higher hardness/calcium content.
With mine I noticed if I use ultra filtered or purified water and hit the rinse cycle after every shot it keeps pressure. Mine had the same problem and making sure you rise it well and if you use tap water constant descaling it will help a lot. It took my a while to make mine keep the pressure. Also rinsing and occasionally greasing it can really help
Thanks for the video sir :)
Use vinegar couple times instead of water. Worked for me
Great video. Can someone explain to me how the water tubes, in and out, fit into the steam boiler pipes ? I have the same problem - steam spluttering out of the joints around the two brass nuts that can be unscrewed around the water tubes. But after unscrewing these, the two water tubes are solidly in the steam boiler pipes. Do you press these in more or pull them out? This is the stage I’m stuck at. On the matter of the removal of the water pump I found that the rubber joint was very difficult to pull out and push back in. This difficulty was caused by the rubber joint being unnecessarily long, so I trimmed it with a Stanley knife. Anyway, some advice on the steam boiler query would be gratefully appreciated. Ta. Barry
Same issue with mine. Different model same thing. Still working on it.
Clean the infuser, unscrew filter (metal), remove gunk. Mine wasn't even putting any coffee out. Cleaned infuser and that did it.

This worked for us too
Powder and getting stuck in the process. So cleaning out the grinder unit is the way to go. You have to disconnect two wires to get them to feed through a hole in the casing the unit pulls up at the top .
why my coffee machine delonghi magenta ESAM 3200 grind coffee but it does not flow what a defect it may be I made 2-3 cleanings and it worked but the coffee does not come in the cup after it is ground it has the water pump identical to the one in the video
i had the same issue with mine.....it was the infuser.....ordered a new one from Delonghi £30....works like new again! :)

Thank you very much for the tip. I have since retired this machine but I may just put the $40 into it and try it. If it works I'll pass it on to my son.

I have fixed and unclogged everything and I am suspecting the the infuser missalighning wirh the espresso spout inside the piston, how did you find out in your case?
The problem is the grind is too fine, adjusting the grinder to a courser grind will fix the problem I decided to use already ground coffee instead of coffee beans After watching this and other videos. When I used already ground coffee the machine worked properly. Now I use a courser setting and it works fine.
Check the coffee sprout, the pipes have a tendency to clog. The pressure seems fine
Have you tried taking the grinder apart and clean it? It's actually pretty easy. Starbucks coffee is a bit oily and tends to get stuck in the grinder.

You can check that by simply trying ground coffee.
I had the same problem. The heater was clogged up with calcium. Had to take it appart and clean it. Now it runs again like new. We have very hard water so have to clean the unit more now.

Jaroslaw Czerwice were you using tap water or filtered water before you cleaned it??

Just use filtered water - that's all you need to avoid this.

I have been doing the descaling routine every time the red light demanded it. The problem with not enough water coming through fast enough seems to lie elsewhere I think. Good to know, that this issue might not require a new pump but different troubleshooting.
Still it is the pressure problem. Either new pump is defective or heater is clogged. Try to clean heater with strong and worm vinegar. Two tanks would help. If they don't, it's pump and you have to replace it once again. As of the broken coffee bricks, I have the same problem too. Machine worked very nice and produced solid bricks before I cleaned it last time. And now the coffee ground powder is everywhere inside after 5-6 caps. Can't figure out what's wrong with it.

Broken Bricks: Had exactly the same issue. I think this is due to the o-rings in the defuser needing replacement. I just replaced the whole defuser in case it was something else and it fixed it.
Question for the experts...I have the Magnifica. It will pull single shot but not double. Pump sounds normal at start and quickly gets quiet with nothing coming out. I replaced pump with oem after 3 complete descaling procedures made no difference. Hot water and steam works good. Water comes out of espresso nozzles at startup and shutdown. I fully cleaned and lubricated the plunger assembly (even that plug and tiny hole below screen). No signs in tubing of scale buildup. I am at a loss. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would suggest to change all of the o-rings big and small even if they don't look warned or cracked.

Same issue here, have you found a solution?
I forgot to add that if you have a message ‘grains too fine, replace water spout ‘ this could be a range of problems but my solution was to assume that the grinder unit is backing up making coffee p
You could try replacing the orings too. That unit has tonsssss of orings

Can you recommend a video that explains where the o rings sit and how to replace them?
How do you add water to the pump before you install it? I ordered the part and the seller said to add water to the pump before you start it ? Please advise

Maybe they want you to make sure that there is water in the tank. I didn't do anything special just turn it on like normal after replacement.

@@ScrapMetalWorks ok thanks -This is all new to me - If I were to try to add water do you know how I would do that? I’ve ordered the part but it hasn’t arrived yet. I appreciate your video and advice!

@@zee1272 You can't. Just replace the pump, then fill the water tank and turn it on. it will do a purge and load the water automatically.

Hi! I have similar problems! in technician mode if I brew the grinder for 5-6 seconds. but if I make the coffee in the normal way, the dose is almost 0 but the grinder goes too long (10 sec) the grinding fineness is also adequate and so it produces these symptoms. I replaced and lubricated all the seals. I also put on another front panel to see if the potentiometer is bad but not. Advice?
maybe the grinder is too fine , try to rotate the bottom on the top

I am having the same problem. and like him my grinder is set to most course. Did the new infuser fix it?
I have a number of video links on repairing the Delonghi Magnifica in my Pinterest webpage if anyone is interested. Have collected these over the years . A lot are in German and Dutch but you learn by looking not listening.
The problem is that today machines are made for unthinking people. Therefore, this machine has an automatic decalcification program. When you read the instructions, the decalcification process takes place only through the panrello. It is logical, therefore, that the cleaning completely avoids the brewing unit, which is the most important part of the machine. The spawning unit then clogs and this causes this problem. So if you want the device to work, you must also involve your brain. Perform the descaling of the appliance by filling the reservoir with the appropriate decalcifier, set the appliance to deliver a small amount of coffee and prepare coffee using the ground coffee button. This causes the decalcifier to enter the brewing unit. Bring a break between each discharge, allow the solution to work chemically. It should help. P.S. Do not forget to carry out a thorough flush with fresh water.Perhaps it is understandable for you, I use a compiler.

Man, you are absolute master. After few hours of cleaning the infuser, descale ..... whatever I found on the internet and no result this was the final thing that save my coffe maker from going to the service repair. I brew 10 max long coffes with a lot of vinnegar in the water and from the sound and no water driping like the video abowe now the machine is working as new. Thank you.

@@kbenkovski So basically run the decalcifier as if you were making coffee? I've done this a few times now and it's still not working for me. I am going to buy a new pump and see. I've opened up the whole machine thinking maybe I had junk somewhere but haven't found it. I own the dedica which is a less complex model.

@@JawSaLee Well, if your hot water is running from the cappuccino and the machine sound normal it means that pump should be ok. You can use vinegar and lemon acid mix or regular coffee machine descaling solution just run it when you switch the machine on and off(no coffee in the pod) so the machine rinse without making coffee(it is slow but will cleans the way)also make sure that your coffee pod is clear and water pass free (my old coffee pod was full of coffee waste in the pod and most of the holes were blocked I used small needle to clear it)

@@kbenkovski ok I'll will try it with the vinegar. I've done the decalcificer by "making coffee" and via the decacification mode and lemon water a few times. I saw a slight improvement. When I open the machine the water runs fine but once I put the mushroom valve back on it doesnt. That's why I'm thinking it might be the pump. The hot water runs but similar to the video not as intense. If i remove the valve I can make coffee just fine but then can't get hot water or steam.
