My laptop has 256gb SSD in which I installed the windows and 1 TB hdd for other files during this process will the data in hdd will also be formatted or it will be same the process works only on the c drive ???

can you tell me why my laptop giving 16 bit unsupported application error as soon as connecting my c type charger? i am using Dell Latitude 7390 with win 11. Why when i go to download windows there no windows there is a ubuntu recovery image. Why i cant download windows recovery image?

I have the same problem! Trying to restore the system because the computer is painfully slow. Booting takes over a minute. [update] This time I timed it and booting up took over 3 minutes. Most of this time (almost 3 minutes) went down before any Windows screen appeared. First there is a screen with the Dell logo on it (for about 2 minutes), then a blank black screen, then at around 3:00 minutes the first Windows screen appears. I have no idea what could be wrong. Just tried to replace the hard drive (cloned the original drive to another drive), but if if anything, it was even slower with the other hard drive...
Congratulations to Dell! They have this "Support Assist" tool that they tell you to use if you need to restore the drivers on your laptop -- but the laptop cannot connect to the net without the drivers and Support Assist won't even install without being connected to the net.

@@wkim8210 I guess Dell has so much knowledge on the subject, the figure their way is the only way, never realising that a simple ISO download plus support for drivers on another machine that IS connected to the internet might be a better way to do things....The failed machine isnt capable of doing a LAZERUS act when not connected....I've been trying to work out why the service tag downloads an Arabic recovery use install which means I'm going to have to learn that language to deal with their lack of proper support!
Hello over there! My computer dates from 2017 and does not have SupportAssist OS Recovery or BIOSConnect. I need to know if it is possible to install these components on my computer (an Alienware 17 R4), to make backup copies of my drivers, operating system, applications (eg, those related to Tobii, Network Killer, Thunderbolt and other ports, etc). In the event that this is not possible, how should I proceed when performing a complete format of my system and recovering all these drivers, applications, the BIOs, etc? I can't backup my files, it can backup only about 80 KB of some libraries.

I had a reboot problem so i downloaded the dell os recovery tool. I used it to reinstall windows but the installation was in chinese. I got to the end and in windows and changed the windows display to english with alot of hard work. But some settings still have chinese tabs.(like regedit). I tried to re-use the os recovery tool but it starts up in chinese. And i even tried microsoft media creation tool but it also starts up in chinese. How do i fix this?

I'm trying to use it but stacked up in loading for hours..
Dell Support, I bought a Dell Inspiron 3580, I want to upgrade my SSD from 128GB to 256GB. Do I follow these steps when I change drives, or, will I lose the Dell Recovery Option when I remove the old drive? Hi there. I am trying to backup my files because my computer has been having a bunch of problems, I can’t even startup. So, I want to save my files and delete everything so my computer can be as if it’s brand new. I inserted a 16 GB micro sd and it says the micro sd is full. I checked on another two computers and it is completely empty. I formatted the micro sd several times and it still says it’s full. I don’t want to loose my things. What do I do? I don’t have another external drive.

It made a backup of my os files but i can't see them or extract them from the hard drive. i hope i don't lose my baby pictures and documents.

I backed up the data and resetted the laptop but now when i am trying to restore the data i don't have the file_restore.exe file in it and only the archive file. What should i do now? I even tried to extract the archive file using other applications like winrar but no success. Please Help

Hello, when doing the backup to an external device (with enough space), will this delete the whole content of the external hard disk, or will the backup be visible as a separate "folder" (and the rest of the data in the hard disk remains as it is)? Thank you

My Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery keeps loading continuously and never actually loads so I can't do anything. I'm unable to get into my computer at all other than to let Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery load forever. I guess my computer is now trash.

Why my dell reset and update in progress stuck at 0?? Any ideas pls help
