Well you need to install OS and then boot.

You can add any company just it should be a match with previous one.. As for hynix, pls confirm if it has low voltage 1.35 or 1.5v.. Then check latency.. And the operating frequency, i guess you have 1600 mhz.. If every thing matches then it will work accordingly.. If one of the ram is slow/ lags in any department, then your laptop must run as per the slow spec ram so as to match the data rate..

The specs written on the stock ram as 4gb 1rx8 pc3l-12800s-11-11-B2. Now i want to add another 4 gb ram 1600 hz, do i have to get ram with -11-11-B2 or any other would work too?? On amazon one is availaible like ' Simmtronics 4GB DDR3 Laptop RAM 1600 MHz (PC 12800) with 3 Year Warranty'.... Would this work ok?

firesly1 mine came with 6 gigs but you you can go to accessories.us.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&category_id=4325&mfgpid=229469&chassisid=-1&stype=1&Tab=Parts and you can get 2 gigs or 4 gigs to put into the other slot.

Hello Techstore i have one dell 3521 8Gb Ram and 1Tb Disc, i7, but he is to slow, it takes almost 5 minutes to full start, and i can´t work in programs like photoshop for more than 10 minutes. If i upgred to a SSD disc like samsung 850 Slevo 500 Gb will he get better, or should i buy another notebook. Thank for your time.

Someone please help me, My father has just got me a Inspiron 15 3521, It came with a base memory of 4GB but I'd like to expand on that or go up, What is the most amount of memory can I get? Some say 8GB and others say 16GB, What's also confusing me, Am I just better off with 8GB because overloading the system with memory can't do it any good even though the architecture of the computer is 64Bit - Thanks for the help if someone could reply.

16 gb, i've seen multiple people with 16 gigs on there. There are a few videos on youtube of 16gb laptops. Although, i must question weather you really need 16gb, you might want to think before you drop that kind of cash.

I own the same laptop which is Dell Inspiron 3521, It came with pre-installed 4 GB of RAM and recently I visited Dell Care for upgrading RAM and they said me that this laptop can hold maximum RAM upto 8 GB only but you just said it can hold maximum RAM upto 16 GB can you please check once again and clarify this doubt. I want to install 8 GB RAM in another slot so 8 + 4 it will be total 12 GB of RAM. I don't know whether this is possible or not with this laptop?
