A look at the UEFI BIOS settings on the Dell Inspiron 15 5510 laptop.
For a consumer laptop there is actually a surprising amount of customisation available, including the option to disable most the laptops ports and ancillary hardware, such as the SATA devices, USB ports, webcam, microphone and speakers.
Power management and processor feature customisation is also available.

Is there no mux switch for this model? I've seen dell released an update for the g15 but can't find it in the bios. Also great video appreciate the help!

That model that I looked at here only had integrated graphics.

@@BrueComputing mine has a 3060 but no idea where to find the setting for it, my bios settings look the exact same as in this video

@@SuperJazzPotato If it's a 12th gen cpu it will have the option. if it's a 11th gen u wont find it. IDTS 3060 has support for MUX in dell laptops. ASUS offers MUX in 12th gen. If u want to enable it disable the integrated gpu ( intel graphics igpu) and run the game. it wiull automatically use 3060
I have Dell inspiron 3593 and I am unable to boot linux please help me I have desable secure boot and ENABLED ACIH MODE
i can't install windows 7 on this bios interface,the bootable USB with win 7 doesn't show up , while the same usb is working fine on other pc and laptop, i think the main issue is, "it doesn't support legacy boot mode on this platform", is there any option to enable legacy mode on this bios interface. Will be waiting for your reply......

Does Shift + Fn + F10 work? Default function key behaviour is the alternate functions, not the F-keys.

The model tested has neither TB4 nor USB4. This is only on the i7 models.

@@BrueComputing Is there anyway to lower the brightness while in BIOS? Mine is way too bright, burns the eyes. I need to make it dimmer, so that I can navigate the BIOS properly.

remove cmos chip by removing the back of the laptop it will reset the bios and reset the password too.

The model I had didn't have an NVIDIA GPU.

Don't know if its an option in the BIOS - my laptop was one purely with integrated graphics.
I can't boot the pen drive to format with this new interface ;^(

You can install Windows 7 in UEFI Secure Boot mode just fine. No idea if Tiger Lake chips will play nicely with it though.

I have a Dell inspiron 15 2021 5515 with a ryzen 5500u and it came with a quite old Bios

Yes, the AMD platform systems from Dell get a text based, keyboard driven, UEFI BIOS. Not the graphical interface on the Intel based ones.

The model of 5510 I had didn't have discrete graphics, so no.
