Thanks 🙏 for that information about break checks, Josh. I don’t drive truck. But I have a cousin who does. At least I think he still does. It gives me a better sense of what he did. I’m a concierge at an apartment building on Monday through Friday on the overnight (third) shift. I’m Andrew. I live in Reston, Virginia. It’s in the Washington, DC area. My maternal grandparents retired to Waynesboro, Virginia. A lot of my childhood and teen years were spent there. They’re with Jesus. Grandpa went home in May 1997. Grandma went home in December 2001.

Regarding brake checks - there are mixed ideas about checking your pressure build up time. I was taught years ago not to fan your brakes with the parking brakes applied as it put strain on the brake components. We would chock the wheels and leave the parking brakes off, then you check a bunch of things in one swell foop, including warning buzzer, dash brake valve popout, and more. Or, as you said, you can pull the tank drains (which also drains condensation) until the pressure is right down to about 10 lbs, then you can check build up time, and buzzer warning points. I actually remember having wig wags in your face! To check application pressure drop you should do it with parking brakes off and wheels chocked. Going under and checkiing push rod travel in the snow was always my favourite part! Great scenery! There used to be an ad on American radio stations for Cummins engines - "With a Cummins hummin'... beneath your feet!". Carry on driver.

I forget the name of the guy, but there’s videos of another truck driver who when he rolls through those brake checks and sees everybody sleeping he rolls, slow rolls through the whole thing laying on his airhorn the whole time it’s pretty great!

Cool set up Josh. Pity you guys don't have a US division doing that. I'd be signing up as an Owner Op for that for sure. A little more hands freight is what I love to do as an owner op. A bit of exercise and better rates to compensate. As an owner op I've done similar for John Deere delivering Gators and Lawn tractors. It's really relaxing delivering to dealers, a laid back attitude and alway s a good welcome as they are glad to receive the freight. Unfortunately the company I'm leased to has lost that work and I'm really missing it as it's been replaced mainly with van work in the food industry. Absolute garbage compared to that kind of work. If yous were doing this in the US I'd be signing up right now. Great opportunity for owner ops who are willing to do a little extra work and get the rewards
