Glad your going back to a wood boiler! Long live wood heat!
Thanks for showing us the installation part, great job. Can't wait for firing that beast up!🔥
I have had a Central Boiler over 20 years love it

We live in Ut. The only thing I would think we could face. We do not have a lot of forests around us. We are mostly more and more of a dessert.
Happy to see you have a central boiler! I have a 6048 myself. One thing I might suggest is adding a bypass for the heat exchanger in your plenum. I added one last year when I installed my brand new unit and it allows you to keep the boiler running and use the AC. Before last year I couldn’t run the AC while the boiler was running because the heat exchanger would overpower the coil and the air would come out of the ducts hot instead of cold.
The more valves the better! Every valve adds easier service to the mess👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Getting my 760 delivered tomorrow!!! Hopefully hooking it all up on Friday..

So far so good. Definitely a learning curve compared to my classic…
Thank you so much for sharing these things with us I love it you and your family are so beautiful and thank you for sharing. can’t wait to see you when you fire it up.
Really admire you're 'calmness' when confronted by leaks etc - very inspirational. Great work! Thank you sooo much for sharing!!
Last night was pretty cool. This will come in handy shortly 👍
Wow great job! Was looking forward to seeing it get installed. Should work great for you guys. Thanks for sharing! 🤠
Hello from the Netherlands . I saw someone on another channel build a wooden-shed-building-kit ( four wooden wall panels and a roof ) around a new wood boiler that person didn't want to watch "such an ugly thing" he said in that video . and I actually thought that was a pretty good idea and he had the same time like a small stock of dry wood there in the shed inside out of the snow thanks for the video . Sincerely, Hollandduck
Been waiting for this since you had that other wood boiler. Hopefully the lines are insulated unlike last time. The other one was so inefficient, can’t wait to see how this one does!
Excellent overview of the install. Very detailed.
thanks for the video. very interesting to see the setup of all the parts. have a great day and week.
If you install a 3 way valve at your coil it’ll bypass the hot water back to the boiler when not needed to heat the space.
Nice video. Seems like a nice channel....straightforward, with clarity.
Looks amazing 🙃🙏you did a great job on it as always 🐨🦎🦘🎉🎊
Great video I just got my 960 going home to finish the install in a week or so I'll be using all ports hopefully next one for house one the garage will hooked up this and adding the snow melt system next year
My Parents have a Water Stove. It is really warm heat. We used to heat a Green House, My My Parent's House, and My House with Ours.
Like the other person, suggested, I would also suggest adding a bypass onto your exchangers. That way if you do experience a week on any of them at any given point in time in the winter, you can simply bypass that exchanger until you get it replaced without having to shut down your stove.

Waiting to see how it goes for you. I hope to be heating with one of these in the next year!
Love the video brother! Nice work! Thanks for sharing! New subscriber here!
Any hvac tech worth their salt can rebraze that crack without issue
Great job.
hi there nice show interesting john

You probably need a fan coil unit, unless you already have a blower out there.
Good job...
Just in case you didn’t know the pump motor has to be moved to the up position or Taco wont warranty it. Its simple to do before the water is introduced. Just an fyi.
Cool brother
Dale's Radiator in Whitehall, MI can fix that leek in the heat exchanger for you.
Just to let you know that orange text pipe and the white I would believe they'll drip a little bit when not up the temperature because they are a compression fitting so don't worry too much if you did a little drip until you get it up the temperature the first time
Looking good. I know it's overkill but buy a spare pump so should it fail at ten below it's a quick fix
nice work
Have you figured out how long it will take you to break even on your broiler? I think it’s a wonderful investment and hopefully it will keep you toasty warm this winter. From what I’ve heard it’s supposed to be colder than normal this year, maybe that forecast has changed but they also said more snow than normal. I know my son-in-laws boiler has saved them a bunch of $$$$. Good luck and I hope everything runs smoothly for you,. 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃

@@SSLFamilyDad not bad. Are you going to use it to also heat the water tank, I think you did say you were. 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃
Are you aware that once you add the Molly Plus you are supposed to bring the water up to full temp in short order according to the manual?
I’m not trying to start a silly debate here, but I would like to say that I really appreciate it when people use the correct terms for things - yes, it DOES matter! - so good on you for stating “skid-steer” rather than “Bobcat”… even if it was indeed a Bobcat brand skid-steer. 😎👍🏼

How many of these tools do you call by their proper name my guess would be very few if any, not to many people say "hand me the adjustable locking pliers (Vise Grips)", nor does hardly anybody say hand me the adjustable wrench (Crescent wrench), or the grove joint pliers (Channel Locks), cross headed screw driver (Phillips screwdriver), or a star headed bit/screwdriver (Torx®). We generally name tools after the originator or inventor. Obviously there are exceptions to this rule but they are all standard industry terms unless you are working for their competition or in some sort of school shop class the terms really are interchangeable. A Skid steer is also called skid loader, a compact tracked loader (or wheeled loader if it has wheels) or just compact loader but a lot people call them a Bobcat. I personally use both terms and up untila few months ago I was around them almost daily. It's like the Brits calling a vacuum a "Hoover" or the task of vacuuming "hoovering". We all know what they mean, thats what makes the English language so great because there's so many words all describing the same thing. The coke, soda, pop, fizzy drink argument comes to mind all are the same thing to most people.

What kind of chimney cap did you install to keep rainwater out of your woodburner?
you could melt the blue color pax tubing
Take the heat exchanger to a radiator repair shop they can solder or braze it for you .
👍
Are you still keeping stoves going inside? Just curious on those really cold nights coming up.
I was just wondering if you looked at any other wood boilers before you purchase the central boiler?
Question I m intrigued by this. What is this whole set called? How much does it cost plus. Could we do this with a home that was built 1975? We have a wood stove down stairs. But do not like the idea of using it. But we might end up doing so.
What did you use for water lines? I went with the thermopex and man was it a pain dealing with!

Hello and good evening thermopex is a really good underground pipe that will not become water logged or lose heat to the ground savings you wood and backaches
What did u use for underground insulated pex
My leather man had a double side flat and a double sided Phillips, guess which one got lost?
Трубы под землей не теплоизолированы?
👍👍👍
The exact one I was looking at. But it was more efficient price wise, and wood wise, to go with just a big wood stove in the basement. We only have the small house to heat though.
@1768ify

That’s a good option as long as you don’t mind having the wood mess in the house and an occasional billow of smoke.
Looking for wires that tie to boiler how to bottom of duplex socket
One piece of advice; Do not use Shark bite push on fittings for you pex connections. Yes, they are approved for hot water behind the wall installations, and they are quick and easy, But in this application, they will leak! Ask me how I know.
I am surprised that the boiler does not require glycol instead of water. If water freezes in the boiler, that could ruin the fun real quick.
Wow, I didn't have any idea people would go backwards in technology.
💖💖🎶🎶
How much did this unit cost you?
Tighten at different torques not pressures.
Did you have any problems with your ac coil freezing up with the heat exchangers in . Thats my fear.
You wont want to run those circulator pumps when your AC is on if you don't have a bypass.
Why put pump on hot side?
Why didn’t you just solder the pin leak , like anyone else would , good god

Didn’t want to mess with it, I can save it and fix it later for use in a greenhouse or other outbuilding
I wish I could use this at my place. Some note does anyone know what's going on with KZread? I had to watch 5 commercial breaks on a 17 min video? And this isn't the only channel that it's happening with. It's making things unwatchable.

You’ll end up regretting using any blk pipe fittings or nipples. It will take some time. But it will rust thru. I did HVAC for 17 years. I’ve seen several times. Installers using blk pipe because it’s way cheaper than stainless or brass. The unseen damage the rust will do to the inside of your unit will be measurable. First your pumps will fail.(they don’t like rust. I urge you to replace all blk pipe that has water running thru it. In the house I bought they used one blk pipe fitting on my well tank. I woke up one morning with it spraying all over due to a rust hole in one 4” pipe. I’m not trying to be a know it all. But you will. Someday regret using blk pipe on water joints.

So what about those boilers with black steel pipe which last decades? You can use blk pipe with closed system, there is no oxygen
If you install in yourself doesnt it void the warranty
Your don't need to run the pumps unless You need heat. You will be buying pumps all of the time if You do that.
@1768ify

Run the pumps 24/7, at least while the boiler is burning. That keeps the water moving so you don’t get hotspots. Those pumps are made to run continuously. If you stop them they tend to lock up.

I have a radaint floor system on I use a thermostat that turns the pump on once a day for a few minutes so the pump doesn't set up during the summer
To James 1:12, I would add Romans 5:3-4… “And we also glory in [setbacks], knowing that [setbacks] produce perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” 😉👍🏼
Is that a peacock I hear in the background?
And also like another person, said valves and unions, the more the better also when, stepping down all the way to a three-quarter inch pex b line, you are also restricting the flow, especially using pex b
