Delivering medicine with drones - Zipline - Omenako, Ghana
We visited a #sustainable initiative called @Zipline1 in #Omenako in #Ghana. This company once started in the USA and is now active in several countries in #Africa, delivering medicine to remote areas in Africa with drones. These deliveries are not only more sustainable due to #zeroemissions, but also a lot quicker and cheaper.
In this video, we introduce this inspiring #initiative and show you the process.

Very impressive.
Wat een tof systeem. Super high-tech 😮
Ik heb dit project een keer eerder voorbij zien komen, maar nu is er veel meer uitleg erbij.
We can’t even keep the renal unit in korle bu open
Wow this is really amazing! So clever and well designed. Seems really good scaling as well. Wonder how they managed to catch these returning drones.
Wow! I had no idea that something like this exist outside some prototypes. Do the drones fly automatically or do they have operators at all times? What is the operational radius?
They are not using a "zipline" to drop the packages, they are just dropping them, one with a 3 yr old boy in the yard another almost hit a dog. Maybe theyre trying to keep the aircraft from being damaged by citizens but theyre putting human life in harms way and WILL kill someone. Im glad the FAA is alright with this
