@@katza831 in series 9 i think, katy wix was a contestant on TM but she got sick for 2 episodes so for one of those kerry godliman came back to be her replacment

Think we need to appreciate how impressive it was that Rhod managed to deliver that payload in one take.

I can understand the production team. When Rhod had missed, he would have hit a wall, with a cupboard, before it hit Alex. And they put a wooden board or something for the small window. That's more or less safe.

I think the production team greatly underestimated just how much damage that javelin would do.

​@@callum9999 I don't know - I've seen some pretty bad javelin shots if you don't know what you're doing. 😂 All that it takes is to overswing on an attempt to build momentum, going too far to the right, and it could easily have hit the part of the caravan where Alex was.

​​@@QStikkiTo be fair, it only went like one inch through the caravan (still very impressive of course), so even if he'd missed and hit Alex's spot, it wouldn't have gone far through enough to hurt him.

James decision to not use the hot air balloon that he definitely had access to was the right one. That would have just been too much 😂

They also gave him an Olympic Javelin and a professional Taylor Swift impersonator to use that day. But he just didn’t know how to work them in.

It's easy to recognize how absolutely nutters James, Jess, Phil and Rhod are straightaway. It takes a few watches to realize Kerri is just as bad as all of them.

@@vonwux I still feel a bit sorry for Dave - they are like the boyfriend/girlfriend that does a lot of the work of improving their other half.......only to see them then get snapped up by a shiny new person on the scene. 'Hey, baby, why don't you ditch that cable tv channel and hang out with me and my mainstream TV broadcasts' And TM was like, sorry babes, it was fun but I have prospects now and drives off into the sunset. Yup. Many people consider series 7 to be the favourite. Rhod absolutely stole the show for me. So much telly gold!

it's such a good series because everyone was insane in different ways and Rhod was apparently trying to maim Alex at every opportunity

The irony is that Kerry did emulate Busby Berkeley with the overhead shots...if Berkeley also had a non-existent budget. (And as the hula hoop task also showed, it's that Phil's junk in slo-mo is borderline traumatic.)

i would have wanted to take the risk and get Greg Davies to hand deliver the task, and argue it that if i wasn't first, it meant he had to admit that his presence wasn't spectacular enough 🤣

How much damage has the caravan taken from this show? Lol. Jenny setting fire to the curtains was the last thing I remember.

I don't think the caravan has taken that much damage. Rhod threw a spear through it, Jenny set a curtain on fire (with 20 members of a health and safety crew standing by with buckets of water). I can't remember anything else.

I think this was genuinely one of my favourite tasks of all time. I believe the tasks got better in the Channel 4 era though. James was my favourite on this task for sure

Rhod was really close to the caravan when he let go of it through the door. Honestly don't think there was much danger there.

It probably says a lot about me, but my first and potentially only idea would be to yeet the task through a window attached to a brick and a load of cash to pay for the broken window.

Why is the music during James' delivery a different version to the full episode?

The (presumably) royalty free fanfare they used in the original episode has been replaced with a different (presumably) royalty free fanfare

All the incidental music, as well as the theme, is all composed for the show, so the rights are the same, I believe.

Rhod deserved first. That’s elegant simplicity at its finest.

Not bad,,it's excepted he won...

In early seasons Greg was not worried about offending the contenders. They all knew what they signed up for. With it becoming increasingly difficult to get new contestants he has mellowed out and tries not to offend them for artistic liberties. However, when something is definitely bad and they should know its bad he says so, under the impression they won't argue because they know it.

Generally, an attempt only scores a zero if the task isn't completed or if there's a specific disqualification. A terrible attempt usually still gets points.
