LOVED this informal -type video. We found the flat brown pin oak leaves and "swiped" them with a bit of copper metalic paint and have them arranged in a pretty crock. Caramel corn looks great, thanks.

The bedroom is so serene and inviting. The small touches make everything warm and cozy!!

I don't decorate my bedroom for fall but I do decorate it for Christmas. I change the bedding to a black plaid that I bought last year at Pottery Barn, I have a 8ft Balsam Hill tree that I put into our room, I use plaid glass balls on it and have the tree lit on a timer so it turns off about an hour after we fall asleep and it turns on about an hour before we wake up and I we leave it lit all day long. I also have a wreath on our double doors of the bedroom. I change out our chairs throw cushions to red velvet Christmas ones and I also add one red velvet pillow on our bed to add to the other 6 we have on there. I also change out my throw to a red one at the end of our bed. We absolutely love having a tree in our room. Your room looks great and I really like the foliage in the white pitcher, it looks more complete. I can't wait to see your room for Christmas. We have our room decorated so far. I slowly work my way from room to room for the holidays. Canadians have our Thanksgiving in October so were lucky to have November and December to focus on the Christmas Season. Because it really is a season, it's not just a day. Embrace the whole season. Take care :) PS. I had to hold my breath while your hubby was putting up that basket... OMG that was scary!!!

I don't go all out in decorating in the bedroom but started putting a few touches around the room this year. Love it!

Caramel corn sounds yummy. If you don’t have a large roaster, you can buy a large aluminum turkey roaster at Dollar Tree and it will work just as well.

I’ve been using almost that same original recipe for 50 years. I add a jar of peanuts to it before pouring on the caramel sauce. It’s so good!

Andrea… good luck trying to find bedding. I’ve been trying to find the “right” green for over a year. Home Depot carries a cord cover that’s paintable, less conspicuous. p.s. Your boys are beautiful. Don’t blink, before you know it they’re grown. ☺️

Since 1987 I have done an early Christmas, then had a B&B in Hillsdale, Mi., so of course I wanted my fall guests to fell the Christmas Spirit!!! Yes, some people think I'm crazy, but most are used to it by now, and since I'm now almost 75, I couldn't do all the work for just 4 weeks!!! I just love your home! It’s gorgeous. I do decorate my bedroom but it’s minimal….stems in a crock or basket and a few white pumpkins. I do have warmer bedding already but I use it year around lol. I can’t wait to try the treats, yummy!!

Thanks for sharing your pretty home, and life, with us! An idea I've used to help camouflage a cord along a wall is to wrap the cord in washi tape the same color as the wall.

I have always used a disposable aluminum turkey pan for the benefit you don’t even have to wash it after making the popcorn!😊

A couple of fallish pillows would work. Some soft greens etc., and they could work for Christmas also. I know, fallish isn’t a word.

If I can give you a helpful tip … I put my popcorn in a shopping bag . You know the brown paper bags from the grocery store and pour the caramel over all at once and shake the heck out of the bag. It covers ever single kernel and no mess. It works great every time ❤

My husband has always decorated for Christmas starting Nov 1st. I have finally convinced him that I was to enjoy each season and I don’t want to eat thanksgiving dinner with Christmas decor everywhere 😂 I love it so much too but I feel like everyone is rushing through each season and I want to start enjoying the present.

Paint the lamp cords the same color as the walls. They will blend right in.

Hello darling! I absolutely love love love your home. A couple of things about your bedroom… H&M actually have very inexpensive linen comforter and pillowcase sets… Not sheets, but they also probably sell sheets. They have a gorgeous deep green one right now! Also, yes, I would definitely do brass covers for your cords.

Bedding the color of those leaves would be lovely

The dried stems are really pretty where you hung them in your stairwell. If you want to help preserve dried flowers, take them outside and spray hair spray on them!! Sounds strange, but it works!! A suggestion for your bedroom -- I love them stems in the pitcher next to the bed. I wonder if you found pillowcases for your bed in the soft green or muted peach color to create the Fall look you are going for? Soft green could actually transition well into Christmas, so you could get two seasons out of them!! I'm trying to simply, so I don't do a lot for the seasons in the bedroom any longer. A throw, a few Fall flowers, and a candle is about the extent of it. In my kitchen, living room, family room, mudroom and entry porch is where I focus most of my efforts to decorate for the season. The popcorn looks yummy!!

OMG, Mike I'm worried for you!! LOL Guess you have to be young! Such a cute video, Andrea! The basket does look good there now that I've recovered from almost having. a heart attack! Mike did a good job! Tee hee! The caramel corn looked great! Not to early to think about Christmas! Those of us who decorate a lot have to start now to get it all done...only about 7 weeks away. I will start decorating the perimeter rooms but the main living space I'll wait til the day after Thanksgiving. I'm focused on picking out new decor, getting Christmas shopping done and then the race begins! But it is exciting! I love giving presents and doing all the decorating! 🧡

Andrea, looking forward to trying the coffee recipe. The green colour of the dried leaves would be beautiful in a blanket on the bed and throw pillows or a throw blanket for the chairs or on the bench. Also when substituting honey for sugar or syrup I usually go a third less as honey is sweeter.

Maybe you could try brown and cream for your fall pillows on the bed. Like a linen color perhaps with the darker tone of the beams in the pattern? A maple spiced latte bedroom-- haha! ☺ If you wanted to add color, a touch of burgundy would be pretty, or green as you have done. It always looks pretty and relaxing just as you have it.

Regarding the power cords in your bedroom, what about covering them in silk? You could gather it around the cord for a romantic, vintage look. You can get cord covers...I think some are printable & will almost disappear. Such a pretty room.
