So beautiful Andrea! I love your last point about how as kids we loved seeing the same thing each year. It made me think back to my childhood and you're so right. Even as an adult now, I would be so sad if my mom didn't still hang the old ratty stockings we always used as kids. :) Such a great reminder to create those memories for our own children!

I never buy new decor! The thing I look forward to most at Christmas is getting out the cherished momentos that I have gathered throughout the years. Our Christmas tree is a tapestry of our lives. My hubby and I have been together 34 years, so our tree has ornamets from our grandparents, parents, special ones we have been gifted, ones that mark special vacations and moments in our lives, and ones our son has made. Nothing new could campare to the memories!! I feel like as years come and go some are good, some are hard, some are sad, but the constant in each one of those years is the Christmas tree! Your home is just stunning. I love it.

I honestly adore when you have “real life” videos; for example, having your casserole out or a random toy. That is real and seeing it makes me feel a since of relief that no one’s life is perfect. We are all doing the best that we can. ❤️

I was thinking as I watched the tour how refreshing it was to see some beautiful decor that was not all new and just purchased. I love using my stuff and getting some things here and there. I have been slowly getting rid of the garlands I had and getting the more realistic ones each year. I look for realist stems too. What a cozy and lovely tour.

Good comment about familiar decor being part of the tradition and collecting over time. Christmas is truly that time of year when famiky makes and shares memories so it makes sense that the decor would reflect that.

Your home has a peacefulness that I Love. It's vintagy, has a nostalgic flair and soothing to the eye. Most of all I love the verse of the day with "Z" that resonates with the Bible. Many youtubers have their content create around Christmas theme, without any mention of Jesus or the Bible. Christmas can have pagan influence, when only focused on deco and nothing else. Sweet, sweet Andrea, you have been such a blessing to me with your advice, examples, talking with us about Thrifting , etc. Yes…this old lady has learned, or relaxed my soul is a better way to express it, with my decorating and thinking. I was one of those who did change and buy new decor and theme about every 3-4 years. I think I have found my “comfort decor” and I’m not feeling overwhelmed with the holidays now. 2 weekends ago, our youngest daughter and our oldest “granddaughter” ( who is getting married next summer ) came and I opened my room of decor and said PLEASE TAKE WHAT YOU LOVE ! Oh my goodness, such a warm heart I had when my granddaughter almost cried with excitement and her future husband was equally excited to fill the back of his pickup with decor for their first Christmas next year. She remembers so much of it and loved it. My youngest daughter was extremely excited also ( her children are 4 and 5 ) , they don’t get to come to Grandma’s for Christmas, to far away. But to know they will enjoy my decor is wonderful! Your home is stunning as always! Never apologize when you have your boy’s items in a video. Everything is is so beautiful! My parents are both gone now , but I have a few ornaments that I remember being on our tree every year growing up. I also have several that our daughter bought for me when she was you little and also a few from our first Christmas. I love to add a few new things, but love the memories!

Andrea, your Christmas decorations have always been my favorite and I love the neutral colors and all the thrifted items you found. I have to admit, I tried to imitate your style back about 3 years ago. But for some reason it didn’t feel Christmassy to me and my husband without a splash of red in our home during Christmas time. But the neural tone look so gorgeous in other people’s home but not ours 😔 This past two years I’ve been using natural elements like the cedar leaves/branches as our garlands and I add plastic red berries in them and dried oranges. It’s very simple but very festive.

You are so right, I am 69 years old and use Christmas things from my childhood and my boy’s ( 36 & 33) decorations that they made in elementary school, it’s lovely to see them again every year

LIke others, I love the beautiful,serene ,cozy feel of your home. The woods, whites, baskets, greens and copper give a peaceful feel to everything, I do wish you would not apologize for real life.. the verse on the fireplace, the sheet music left on the piano, the casserole. Its like you are apologizing for not being perfect. We don't want perfection, We watch for real people we can relate to. The peaked arch going into your dining room and the french doors to the sun room are absolutely gorgeous, and set the ambience of the entire home.

Christmas decorating is the tradition of bringing out what you have to enjoy again. I have been married for 50 years and have lived in the same house the whole time! I have tree decorations that my son and daughter made when they were little. I still buy a few things new occasionally but depend on the old too.

Your Christmas decor is STUNNING! I love the elegant simplicity! I couldn't agree more , concerning reusing Christmas' pieces from years past and the sentimental gift they bring . It becomes a part of your tradition. We had a plastic Santa cookie jar, that probably cost our mother a dollar! Every yur. I would climb up the lady, into the crawl space to bring it down. Today, I have that cookie jar and though it has a piece missing, it remains one of my most treasured items, connecting me to childhood!
