I’ve to pointed these delay tactics out since the players were pretty obvious in doing so. I only showed the ones when the umpire reprimanded the said players. IMHO, aside from techniques, tactics also play a big role to create greater chance at winning. In this case, the players launch a delay tactic by creating a disturbance to get the opponents out of the rhythm. It’s the umpire’s verdicts to decide whether their actions are allowed or not. And unfortunately, it’s the opponents’ lost when the disturbances do get to them.

Come on man its badminton, what do u mean, if the service personal ready means receiver should have to be ready? No not like that they have to wait until the receiver is ready. Badminton is not playing with time limit. If indonatians not delaying means the indians cant do that? What do say about other tactics? Body shot, repeat shot to the same person, shot to the week person ? If we say all then all shots in badminton is tactics.

The better team won..The Indian pair was absolutely terrific..every return , smash, serve was strategic and brilliant from the Indian pair..And the warnings for the delay actually only made the Indians much more aggressive..Every point after the warning..the Indian pair just absolutely avenged it..

I don't think the channel wants us to feel that satwik and chirag won by unfair means. The channel is just trying to point out the tactics that were used that may have helped them one up their opponents. Whether the tactics are ethical or not are subject to one's personal opinions. Let us just appreciate that we are getting such high quality badminton content. Describing each and every shot and the thought process of the players behind it.

getting into the groove at an important point with a delay tactic is a strategy. excessive delay at every point is unsportsmanlike. the win is totally justified and well deserved.

Yes, delay/service tactics is part of the game. Is it un-sportsman-like? debatable. The service rules have a grey area so the players are going to exploit it. Is it ok to abuse it? No, or else the ump would just let it go instead of giving a yellow card. Players in any game/sport would ALWAYS abuse or push the boundary to have an easier win by any means necessary until the rules change to prevent it. Like screaming in badminton, flopping in football or basketball, screaming in tennis, etc. It is perfectly normal. It is also perfectly normal to not like these actions as it seems like it is not achieved through skill or hardwork, but some type of cheat or "mental edge/warfare" or dirty play, but that is a subjective and personal opinion. As long as the rules are what they are, there will always be players using these "tactics" or exploits. You either love it, hate it or learn to live with it.
