I used a guided meditation to try and find my deity. One of the questions they said to ask was to show a sign that they want to work with you. I was very drawn towards Aphrodite during the visualization part of the meditation. Her image just would not leave my mind. So before the meditation ended I asked her to give me a sign, an image of a pink heart to be exact, when I reloaded the page on youtube. Sure enough when I reloaded, a thumbnail with TWO pink hearts popped up. So I feel very confident that she was reaching out to me :)

I’ve wanted to work with Aphrodite as well. So I stared doing research about different topics related to love and spirituality. I also added roses and seashells to my alter. Then right before my birthday I got probably about 5 signs she’s watching me in a row. 😅❤

Odin came to speak with me when I was 18. I was having my first sleep paralysis episode of my life and it was daylight outside. He was sitting next to me trying to tell me something but I couldn't hear his voice. He realized this, laughed to himself and disappeared. I was Christian at the time. He has given me a sign since then but that's it. 2 communications. I'm 48.

Have you tried to do anything to boost the dream communication with him?.. herb sachets under your pillow? Meditation before sleep, or just direct asking to speak with him via Tarot or pendulum?…

Your style and guidance are so refreshing and free. None of this "do this, don't do that, etc". Just do what and talk to whomever feels right to you at the time and brings the most feedback. I appreciate it! It's our own journey, nobody else's.

That won’t be possible because I don’t know nearly enough about them. But Chinese and Hindu gods I know basically nothing. So it’s nothing I would be comfortable making videos about, sorry

I ended up not having the time or motivation to meditate or give offerings anymore and I wanted to study more about witchcraft and deity work instead, so out of instinct, I took down the whole alter😭😭😭 it's been a couple years now and I've studied and gotten closer to myself and I'm ready to start all over again

Same! I used to work with Aphrodite but I felt she was ignoring me and I got the signs wrong but I just thought that everyone could communicate with deities by simply talking. She was definitely there I remember she sent me a vision in my dream of 3 dolphins each with hearts on their chests, they almost looked like valentine gifts. I am trying to apologize to her and seeing if she would like to continue working with me now that I’m a bit more mature. I guess I’ll keep you updated

@@Aklaex I’m not gonna lie I haven’t even tried. I have been working with Loki and Artemis and I can barely keep up with offerings for them. I’d rather be more stable with these two before I try going back to Aphrodite.

My first experiences: (very VERY lenghty description of my first experiences!!!) So I wanted to share my very first experiences as a witch because I have no one to talk to about to this kind of things. I am very eager to share my first experiences with others. This video inspired me and made me feel at ease and more confident! I started the path of the witch a chouple of days ago. I was shopping in a different town. I had to buy a train ticked and the ticket booth was right inside a book store. Right next to the ticket booth there was a shelf with witchy books and such and one book in particular caught my attention. I was eyeing it the whole time. It was a book about beginner deity work specialized in goddesses. So I bought my ticket and the book which there was only a single copy of. In the book there were plenty of goddesses described: Their story, what powers they have and how they can help you in your daily life + what offerings they accept. The book also had small rituals for beginners like for protection or cleansing, luck,... etc. Very easy to follow. I know deity work is an advanced technique but I wanted to try it so bad since I'm in a really bad place mentally right now. I feel lost and very depressed and I thought I had nothing to lose so I just went for it and tried it out. I' honest I grew up in a strict christian household so I was really scared of messing rituals up because I didn't want to upset some deitys and other beings. But now I've seen videos of saying that it's okay to mess things up and to take a break If it's taking too much of a toll on you and now I feel a bit more at ease. I already have a table with altar aesthetic in my living room so I will use this one as my alter for now. I was already obsessed with witchy things before but I didn't do any research on anything. I was just really drawn to the aesthetic. A strange new feeling: Two or three days ago I was looking up shaman chants and drumming because this type of music was getting me really into the mood for spiritual work. When I did my research I saw plenty of Hekate themed music playlists and I got really interested in her. I read a bit about her in my book but I didn't know she was sooo powerful! So I was listening to Hekate themed playlists and did a little bit of research on her. I stumbled upon a video essay about her and I teared up during it for some reason? I felt really emotional. It was like seeing or hearing about an old friend again. Suddenly I felt a really strong connection to her and then it clicked. I have always been obsessed with the moon and I always felt oddly drawn to it. She is the patreon of dogs and I was thinking back about the time when I visited a friend who had a rescue dog. The dog was scared of strangers and she would try to bite and was barking at people. But as she saw me for the first time she was so kind and gentle. She always wanted to be by my side and was putting her head on my lap. My friend told me I must have a very special aura around me because she has never seen her dog be so calm around someone she met for the first time. I don't know...this might sound silly but now that I think about it again I see this as a sign from Hekate. Over the last couple of months my keys went missing multiple times and appeared again in random locations and I felt like someone was playing a prank on me. Now this also feels like a sign to me as the keys are a symbol of her. Plenty of other minor things happened as well. But I had a really strong feeling that she was trying to reach out to me. But I have plenty of doubt about it even though the feeling is so strong. She is so powerful why would she choose me? I feel like I am not worthy of her attention + people were saying that she is very picky. As I said I struggle with mental problems at the moment and I feel very lost so my self esteem is very low. But I had the urge to reach out to her. The Ritual: Right before I went to bed I did a small tea ritual that I read about in the book. It was simple as you invite the goddess of your choice for a cup of tea. You can have a little talk with her and thank her and such. Simple enough. I will not describe the ritual in detail but as I sat there with my cup of tea and put the other cup for Hekate on the other side of the table I got a very weird feeling in my chest...Like something was squeezing me really hard from the inside. Before the ritual I was chanting her name and called upon her and I was inviting her to join me and I felt a very weird and new energy in the room. I was fearful at first. At the same time I felt really exhausted? Ever since I started doing rituals, spells and such I feel really drained. Unlike anything I felt ever before but then again deity work is advanced so of course it's taking a greater toll on me. The energy was so weird and complex and I felt nervous like someone was actually sitting in front of me. As I was trying to talk to Hekate one candle flame was behaving a bit weird? All the other flames were standing still while this one in particular was flickering east. No windows were open. I didn't think much of it at first but now that I am thinking of it again it might have been a way of her responding to me. I also heard some creak noises in my house as well. I asked her to help me with my spiritual journey and guide me to the right path. But the weirdest part is that I was talking to her directly like she was a physical being and I was responding to my own questions like she was speaking through me? It was very weird. Now I also feel like she occupies my mind. After some time I ended the ritual but now she is speaking through my thoughts with me? I was thinking that I am probably imagining stuff and that I am interpreting it wrong...Like I want to believe but my self doubts are really crushing me. Then I feel like someone else is speaking through me. I heard and felt Hekate speak to me through my thoughts. She told me: "Now that you have answered my call I will stay by your side. I will help and support you." Hekates Voice: I was trying to reach out to her the very next day just to talk to her and through my mind she told me to take it easy. I was very exhausted. I tried to do some rituals every day and I feel so drained. She told me the reason for my lack of energy is that I am rushing things too fast. I jumped right into deity work instead of perfecting the basics. Hekate also said she wants me to go to sleep earlier. She told me not to invite her directly until I have learned a couple of grounding spells to re-balance my energy and draw fresh new energy first. But she will stay in the background and support me through my journey. She said calling upon her also costs me a lot of energy as she is a powerful goddess. She was suggesting me to try to contact other deitys first. Then I stumbled upon some Apollo videos and my inner voice told me to try to reach out to him. I have a good feeling about him. But first she told me to take some rest, drink some water and take a break from doing rituals and spells for today. So I am doing as she said and and writing this now. I really feel like she is in the background now, watching me from afar. The energy is not as strong as it was before. My thoughts: Honestly I am really confused at the moment. I feel like I am imagining stuff and I am just talking to myself? I feel like I am coming up with all the answers and saying the most logical things to put my mind at ease. But at the same time I feel like these thoughts are not mine? It is very strange. I don't want to have any doubts about her presence but I can't help it. But then I think about this weird feeling in my chest, the energy I felt when she was there with me, the flickering flame, the creaking noises in my house and all the other things. Also some things are already in motion. I asked for her help and I start to seeing the changes and it's only been a couple of days! I also asked her to help me losing my doubts... I think I will really work on my grounding spells now. I know it's very personal stuff I am sharing but I had to urge to share it with other people! :) At the moment I feel so alone and unsure about all of this. Like is any of this real or not?

I think the self doubt is normal, I also struggle with that and it’s preventing me from wanting to start deity work because I don’t want to misinterpret communication or any of their messages, but at the same time, I know that they will help us during the journey. Right now, I’m just trying to work on trusting my intuition and work on shadow work and addressing any other emotional or mental blocks that I’m experiencing ❤ Also, I hope everything is going well for you now. Me working on witchcraft for 16 years with no deities. Talking to a form of spirit that I truly love. After years I was just called by Freya and Vali and totally lost most of the signs. Until I realized wait wot.. I feel very interested and scared because there's so much to learn. I need so many books.

I’m still a beginner to witchcraft and I did loads of research. I’m an art witch and I’m interested in doing paganism I like to work with deities. I feel drawn to goddesses. I feel strongly drawn to Persephone, and now I’m interested in Artemis. I have fascination for moon and Greek and Egyptian deities.

It took 12 years for me to realize that Loki was trying to contact me. The moment I went to find something to represent him on an alter, the Local metaphysical store JUST got a statue of him in

So... I've recently started doing deity work and I'm working with Fenrir. He came to me when I was 16 and I wasn't a witch at all. I was just doing tarot cards that my friend got me for my birthday (he gave me sleep paralysis and astral projection all at once and since then, that was the most trippy experience I've ever had). I've only recently learned who Fenrir is (I'm 19) and a friend of mine helped me identify him. The night I found out, I asked Fenrir to give me some sort of sign that it's really him. The next night, I found a black feather right outside my house. (Black feathers meaning spiritual protection). Later on, I have this friend and I just got his snap and next to his name is a wolf. I thought how ironic it was until a few days ago, while visiting him at his house, he gave me sandalwood incense (sandalwood being Fenrir's favorite smell and I didn't have sandalwood incense so I was using jasmine incense a lot) without knowing anything about deity work (he's not a witch). So, I'm constantly getting some sort of reassurance but it's still hard communicating with him when a) He doesn't just straight up trusts chuu. He is a wolf afterall. B) I can't find much on working with Fenrir on the internet. He's my only deity at the moment so... Wish Me Luck!!

This is very true. Deities choose you. Always do a divination before deciding to work with a deity. And keep away from from deities in the African Diaspora Traditions which require initiation before you can work with them.

I'm not sure I would of chosen my dieties but I KNOW they chose me. I would of never known if they didn't come to me.

I've been interested in Deities since I started practising and have contacted a few Deities. However, I felt an incredibly disturbing feeling of unease when conversing in who I thought was Hermes and just immediately burned all my research papers and didn't touch Deity work for a while. I've now just started worshipping Hera and can't wait to wirk with her.

Also I like how you said you can ask questions and "see" the answer because when I close my eyes sometimes I can do that and I'll see the word yes or no. I would love to be clairaudience but I'm actually schizoaffective so I hallucinate voices anyway so I like the idea of using tarot, runes, crystal ball as apposed to clairaudience because I wouldn't believe the voices anyway if I heard them. Lol.

I am new to all this but am loving it and your videos are amazing. What I have been doing is lighting candles and meditating, clearing my mind and letting the gods take over. The visions have lead me to the side of Freyja, but any advice helps a ton!

It’s been about a year now and I feel that my connection to the gods has shifted from deity to deity and I’m trying to get back to the roots of deity work, I’ve taken up rune reading and attempting to relearn both the futhark, offerings, and establishing another bond with Odin. So I always felt the energy and presence of other entities. Even as a Kid. But I kinda closed myself to it and stoped having such strong experiences and Im reopening to it now. What I have learned now is that one deity was with me probably from what I can remember even when I was a kid. Always sensing someone in the shadow. Feeling like someone is with me in the dark room. Almost never being alone in the dark. I felt the eyes, the presence but never saw anything. And after starting my deity work I learned it is Erebosus. He is with me probably my whole life, giving me signs and keeping me company in the dark nights, protecting me. I did meditaion, tarot and pendulum. He always answered. Such a respectable energy, kinda creepy but also safe and very interesting. He wants to contact me even through a dreams and he even did for once now. I have very vivid, strong dreams. Sometimes my dreams are so strong, that if I for example hit my leg, my leg will then hurt me even in reality. Im really exited to learn more about dreams and how to work with them. Its beautiful to work with these deity.

Oh yeah, I commented on your other video but I never mentioned that probably the clearest sign I ever got from a deity was Thor appearing in my dreams. I don't know how I knew it was Thor but my brain just recognized it as him. In the dream, we were both walking down a forested path. At one point I noticed that my left hand was covered in cuts, and he physically healed them for me. Also at the same time as everything has been happening with Odin these past couple of days, I've also seen Mjolnir (mythological, not Marvel) everywhere. On peoples shirts, necklaces, tattoos, etc.

I've been thinking off and on about Odin since I made my runes and started studying the meanings about 3-4 months ago and watched your video. I feel drawn for whatever reason, maybe our thirst for knowledge... I was watching your videos and went into the kitchen and made a salad and some yogurt dressing and tasting a pepper, garlic, onion chutney a neighbor gave us today, and I felt certain he asked me to make him an offering of each and put it on a coaster pedestal and leave it outside overnight on the table. Also incense. I went through half of them and when I got to Dragon's Breathe, it was clear that that was the one. I am going to research more about casting the circle and other protection. You gave good advice. Since this last video, I now know I am a Nordic Pagan (Heathen) :)

This was very informative and helpful. Thank you. Yours is the first video that I have seen that talks about protection. I think there are intersecting plaines of consciousness which make up our reality, and the realm of deities is one of these. And it's like a forest or an ocean - full of wonder and beauty but also danger to the unwary. I would be very interested if you had a more in depth video about protection, especially in the context of working with Norse (or in my case Anglo Saxon) pagan deities. Thank you again.

You explained this so very well. Thank you. I'm very on the fence about if I believe that deities are real or not. I was raised in the bible belt so I was forced into Christianity. I tried multiple times to reach out to God to no avail. I always got complete silence and never any signs. There would be no harm in me trying to reach out to a deity to see for myself. 😊

I would really like to know how you cast a circle and what is your way to do it, a small tutorial perhabs would be really helpful! Could you maybe do it?

@@TheNorseWitch depending on the pantheon and specific dieties, I do have to disagree with some of what you said... Asking for feelings of perfect love and trust...not exactly what the Aesir are known for....Odin himself is a grifting trickster half the time. And I have serious doubts that human made protection circle would keep out beings like Loki if they felt like some mischief... Tricksters have their place, gifts to bestow and lessons to teach...just because they aren't benevolent doesn't make them malevolent... I believe A lot of it has to do with reciprocity and cultivating relationships

I don’t even think that they’re malevolent xD I work with Odin myself. But I believe that a magick circle works if you cast it properly. But (as far as I remember correctly) I also didn’t mean trickster deities specifically when I talked about keeping them out. I meant more so trickster spirits who present to be another entity. I hope I remember the content of the video correctly because it has been a long time since I filmed it 🤣

Interesting stuff. Looking back through the past it is obvious people did this but i wonder what it will look like in the future. I saw a short film the other day and one of the characters said that as technology grows magical things fade. A lot could be said about technology but one thing i think of here is how people can no longer see the whole night sky due to light pollution. You look up now and see like three stars.

As often as you want or you feel like is appropriate. There is no rule for that ☺️ it will greatly depend on your practice and the deity you work with ☺️

I had a meditation a while ago of meeting my spirit guides with an experienced psychic. I have 7 spirit guides, I'm a huge light bulb to malevolent entities. One of them she named herself Nox, had a whole black dress and something that was covering her face. The psychic said her power is very very high. and I looked her up so.. does that mean Nox/Nyx decided to work with me?? I kind of teared up a bit when I found her from searching her up. The appearance described for goddess of the night compared to the woman I saw in my meditation was uncanny! I'm just amazed. :>

I love you and your energy! I am very new and I keep finding conflicting stuff on if you should call to deities or not. some say not to at all since I am new some say its okay. I think just because you’re a new witch doesn’t mean you cannot do it. I just think you should have some skills beforehand. For example if you want to communicate with deities then being able to use some sort of divination method will make it sooo much easier. And of course you should (in my opinion) know how to protect yourself first. That’s the most important thing. But then you’re good to go ☺️

I was listening to a Meditation a few days ago and I saw Anubis... With a Ankh staff and I got every interested in Anubis and I asked him for signs, He gave me two, Candles, WW2 Uniform... (Random. But true) and A Tape Cassette Player... "Strength and Power through offerings and Divine contact and it's your decision..." That's the message I believe came out of the dreams I remembered...

Hi! Not sure if you've already found the info you need but what works for me is a simple salt circle, pour salt around you in a clockwise motion, make sure that everything you need is IN the circle and if you feel the need to, burn rosemary in the middle for good energy and to remove negative energy ^^ just make sure to put the salt you used somewhere so it can return to mother earth. BB

hello a small question is that does having buddha related statues is a form of protection? im a young teen whose has always been interested on deities, paranormal activity, tarot readings and more. I never expierenced any weird signs or bad vibes or seen any visions. im just a normal person but interested in these things that i dont have.

I kinda feel like this video is a way of a warning, I left a candle for Hades bc he went to my help on a terrible nightmare once, and promised to him a candle, so I did, every now and then I change it, I talk to the candle leave him offerings, as I know Im not ready for deity work. Sometimes I just randomly lit the candle to speak to hopefully hades, Im aware he might or might not comply my requests, but ig this is a sign for me to start looking into it.

I personally burn sage/smudge sticks once or twice a month for protection. I haven't used any wards on my house though. Back when I was a thelemite I used the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram but that's very judeo christian influenced so I ditched it. I was a demonolater briefly before becoming a pagan and dedicating myself to the Aesir and Vanir. Demonolatry doesn't use a banishing ritual. What are some pagan methods? I've heard shining candlelight on every corner works but I just use sage and sage every corner and ceiling. Hope that's enough but would like to hear your thoughts. Thank you.

i’ve been interested in medusa for a while and when i started dating my boyfriend i found out he had a snake which none of my friends have a snake as a pet so i definitely think that was medusa sending me a sign to work with her

I tried the Perfect Love and Perfect trust thing So basically I started working with Loki and to make sure I asking him to send me perfect love and perfect trust in my dreams. That night I had the best dream I’ve ever had. It was basically your average love story. If you’ve read Scared Little Rabbits by A.V.Geiger it was similar to that. I almost cried when I woke up and he was gone.

This explains why I always see 2 ravens wherever I go.

Okay, so... how do I protect myself? How do I banish? (Baby witch here) I will do my own research of course, but if you can, could you share something from your own point of view on how to do it? Especially regarding deities and contacting them?

Casting a ward with salt and a chant perhaps. Or sigils. Just chanting. Inscense. A protection jar or candle. Many different ways to do it

There are a million ways to do it 😅 a very basic personal ward can be set up by regularly visualizing it and stabilizing it through energy manipulation during meditations. If you do that really regularly you’ll have a pretty great personal ward. You could also create a talisman that constantly created a personal ward for example. When it comes to banishing I think the easiest way other than banishing by burning specific herbs like pine or juniper is to use the banishing earth pentacle and to simply draw it in the air while visualizing it and of course putting your intention into it

Freyja doesn't communicate with me very often. Hawks fly along with my car sometimes. If there is a cat in the house it might be overly friendly when it ususaly stays away from people. Its usually during important things. Other than that i contact her. I light her candle. I wear devontional jewelry but she does her own thing

I can not hear or see but I’ve gotten many birds (owls seagulls in winter when they don’t usually stay in my area) and use deity candles and read the flames and wax it’s as good as I can get to communication but it’s not great.

me too, I've always felt moved towards hades ever since I started practicing in early 2020

I've come to believe that Lucifer has been reaching out to me. I asked for a couple of signs which I all got but the most significant sign I got back was asking him to send me a sign in my dream. I was in a library and I was walking around and suddenly I came across a book that was titled Lucifer. The book had a picture for the cover of a very beautiful being. I was immediately snapped out of my dreamlike state and I was suddenly aware that I was in a dream. I was extremely happy that I got a sign of some kind in my dream. I also asked him to send crows and the next day there were quite a few gathered outside my window cawing.

So curious question. I presume you were into witchcrafting and spellworking before your norse transformation, but my question is, how did paganism effect your witchcrafting and spellworking?
