grace is not intended to cover intentional sin it's a learning curve for those coming to an understanding of salvation. not to say we don't all struggle sin because of this flesh. but we are to come humbly before the Lord not make excuses for our actions.

So many of us are being mislead. Pay attention to the grammar. It is not sound doctrine to say, We are sinner saved by grace". No, We WERE sinners who have been saved by grace. See the difference now. Brings on a whole new understanding. You WERE a sinner saved by grace. Now, you are in Christ and if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (old things have passed away behold all things have become new). What's the reward of having a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof?

I see what you mean in the wording. From an outreach and evangelistic perspective, this is the message the reaches the lost. It is God's message to us. Read Romans 3:23 carefully. "For all have sinned (past tense) and come short (present tense) of the glory of God." Or Proverbs 20:9 "Who can say that they are pure from their sin?" I agree with you that the maturation process walking with the fear of God will cause you to lose a zeal for the lusts that fueled old passions, old ways, and old things. We are to constantly be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ and NOT conformed to the world. It seems like his albums continue to appeal to the one who is on the edge of life and death.

Man was made in the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which every man was uniquely created but, with the mind to make their own choices. Deitrick's Music reaches some and misses others. A message, sermon, song etc. coming from that person has to be about that person FIRST in order to make a delivery. "Jesus made a stop down to hell" sat, supped with Sinners like ME and YOU." Came down" Lowered his standards to bring somebody up and out. I can relate

I grew up listening to him & Canton Jones I love both of their music, I'm 19 years old & w/ my generation now they need music that's going to reach them & stick w/ them & I honestly think this is reaching them..I love the album. People my age don't really listen to old music like Andre Crouch & etc. The contemporary Gospel is what's getting to them & implanting the word in them. As long as the Gospel is being preached & the people are listening & learning it shouldn't be a problem. but that's just my opinion.

I love this song I'm 24 years old in I love listening to different gospel songs like Erica c. I luh God in canton Jones etc. else that is dealing with praising GOD ppl are so judgmental that they can't see thus type of music help get the younger generation attention. I have sisters that love to listen to gospel I want them to know u can praise God n e type of way as long as its respectful ppl need to stop judging D.H. off of the beat he wants to praise God on! thus song is beautiful! because GOD love us when we don't even deserve it !#save by GRACE! :)

It might not be that deep. I think my unrest is: where is the standard? But to answer my own question... i guess we ought to be looking towards Jesus for that standard and not man. Man never be the standard. Only Jesus can, because we are all fighting to be like Him. I guess when you hold a leadership position though, there are certain requirements and basic concepts you are expected to understand before titling yourself as leader. Which is why to whom much is given much os required... yet the Bible says that when one of our sisters or brothers have fallen back into sin we should help them back up.... well... it's all a maze

+Afro Gene There is no greater standard than Jesus Christ and his word.. The word is the absolute standard! Jesus is the model and he is who we all should follow! This particular song is steeped in the word of God but you have to really know your bible get it! Eh 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is a gift from God. The hook simply repeats "we're sinner's saved by Grace". 1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us! I can go on for days breaking this song down. Unfortunately i don't have the luxury of calling on the scripture text in a song before i sing the verse or the hook! That would be hilarious tho!lol This song also has a little bit of my testimony in it and there is no way to sugar coat what you've done and what you've been through! You should have heard the original unedited version.lol In my closing..This particular song may not be the one for you but keep in mind it may be just what the doctor ordered for someone else! I"m sure you will find a song or 2 or 3 on my new album that will suit your taste! Masterpiece drops Nov 6!

+Deitrick Haddon for the record, you are right we are sinners saved by grace. Sinners who Christ walk with, who Christ said he have come for. there will be many who have negative to say but as long as you keep doing what God call you to do. in the end that's all that man. For God knows your heart and HE alone is the final judge. I am looking forward to November 6, 2015 cause I know it will be a blessing.

+Ida Flores My sister! It is nit sound doctrine to say, "we are sinners saved by grace." Pay attention to the grammar. We WERE sinners who have been saved by grace. see the difference now :). Love you. And may continue to lead you into all truths!

I don't look at Deitrick Haddon as worship music just great music i can listen to without swearing, or talking about sex or drugs. [I got plenty of music to worship to]. My issue with this song particularly is the message. It seems like every CD from Deitrick has a song about all this stuff he's done and the mistakes he's made; And how if you judge him that's not Godly because you shouldn't judge and if you looked at your life there are probably things you do that you shouldn't and how we all make mistakes. As a preacher that is the exact opposite of what God calls him to do. As a pastor you are meant to lead and you are responsible for the people you lead. That's scripture. You are meant to be a role model that people look up to and aspire to be, just like Jesus was. to preach and sing about your mistakes and then make those same mistakes again is human. but We are all Sinners and we are all saved by grace Isn't an excuse to not try to change your ways and become a better man who is closer to God.

why are you so judgemental? be careful no one is holier than thou you know you got skeletons too don't act like you living right 365 days of the year only one can do that and his name is Jesus you are human.

TheCarmeltwist hey all i did was give scripture to encourage people not to feel like they cannot offer correction. Just because you are not perfect doesn't mean you sit quiet and watch someone spiral down. You give them the comfort and grace you were given and correction, teaching, and rebuke. No one wants to be taught no more because they feel no one else is worthy to tell another when they are wrong. That's pride. No one is judging just correcting error. My correcting error doesn’t mean im holier than though, that's just a clap back for those who don't like wise council.

TheCarmeltwist however, it isn't my intent to be judgemental. My apologies if I made you feel that way. The word, however, is the word and it cuts deep. No one wants that double edge sword and that's what keeps us on the straight and narrow and away from the broad and wide. Again. Not my intent to judge, but correct error. For example, Israel Houghton came out straight amd humble, he didn't make excuses for his actions, he didn't talk about 70x70 he just took responsibility for his actions and I still hope for his marriage because God can turn anything around. I know this first hand as God is bring together 20 years of a divorce before my eyes. No one would have ever thought
