Stephen Carpenter once handed me his pick, at the end of a back to back show in NM. He caught me mimic-ing the notes to some songs and at the end it was confirmed he saw me. Still got it, and after playing with it forever, out of fear of losing it I turned it into a necklace. Good times.

They have so many that it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I agree this one has grown on me over the years that it just keeps demanding to be replayed. Definitely has climbed into my top 5 maybe top 3 Deftones songs.

Had the honor of getting to see them live in Seattle last weekend. This song is hands down my favorite. In a catalog of really almost no bad songs haha this one just always takes me somewhere else. The vocals are just so good

KNY as a whole is so cohesive. While ST is my fav record KNY is objectively their most cohesive and well produced in my opinion with not a single filler not a single miss in its aim. Perfect record that takes you off into a real mind trip. My second fav record for those reasons with Rosemary likely being Tones best track to date. But that's just my opinion of course

After eight hours of car ride from our hometown Izmir to watch Deftones in Istanbul, we bumped into Stef in Istiklal at a doner shop just a day before the concert. We couldn't believe our eyes. It was really him! We shouted Stef! Stef! He greeted us in a very friendly way. He ate kebab with us, chatted with us the whole time. Not like a rock star that he is, but more like a commoner among us. The most kind and humble soul ever. God bless him.

Stephen Carpenter is one of those magical guitarists who compose masterpieces without having to play any solo. Of course Chino Moreno and the band are the perfect other part for those compositions to shine. I love his style.

This song has so many layers. Like a birthday cake. So dense with tone, pitch. Just love it.

Man, I just love the cat watching Stephen play in all the playthroughs, all mesmerized. Cats just a passenger like us lol

4:16 this chorus here with chino’s vocals always make me tear up because it makes me think of everyone of my loved ones who have passed and also makes me think of Chi Cheng

My favorite track from Koi No Yokan. I actually met you guys at Zia Records in Las Vegas as this song was playing and got the 7 Words promo 45 rpm signed. I recall Stef saying "Alright, old school."

This song wanted to take me back to 2012 or 2013! I've embraced nostalgia for too long, since their decades! 😢

Such a beautiful record. The shoegaze wall of sound in the chorus, Chino’s ethereal vocal delivery, the brooding bass and synth and Abe’s huge drum sound…this is my favourite Deftones record, coming from someone who bought Around the Fur the year it was released.

He's discovered the entry to other planes that kitty! The end part always reminds me of stefs cat whenever I hear it, after watching the play through.

Rosemary is a Masterpiece of a track! Koi No Yokan is a personal favourite, they have an amazing body of work! Another sublime, epic track which would have been on Eros is 'Smile,' that is an extraordinary track too. Wish they'd release that one on streaming services. I'm really loving their new album Ohms and whenever they release a new album I start going back through their rich catalogue of music to see how amazing the journey they've been on musically and taken their fans on.

Best playthrough yet. Best band on the plane!

I love a bit of Rosemary. I was going to complain but then I got to 5:50. Top marks.

ive always been into deftones, never a superfan or anything, but i picked up guitar recently and i fell in love with this band in a completely different way. this entire build of a song, with chino and his piercing lullabies up front, all the way into that DISGUSTING riff at the end. I love this song so much and had such a cathartic time learning it. Much love Steph, much love Deftones.
