I know this video is about Stephen, but can we all take a moment and appreciate what Sergio Vega is doing on the bass underneath the all those power chords? I don't think people realize just how much his bass lines make the chorus. Almost reminds me of Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots. It's just so good.

Not just Sergio but what these playthroughs have really highlighted is how much Frank Delgado's bringing in too. He uses so many synth sounds and samples that sound guitar based you often assume Stef's doing more than he is. With that said they're an amazing band and in just the same way any great band has every member bringing something to the party, so do Deftones. Rock on!

Headless has moved into my top 5. I think it and Spell are some of their best work to date. Beautiful, ethereal and great riffs.
