Chino is so cool. He never got all diva on us. He's still just like "yeah this is what I do. take it or leave it." Still one of my fav rock dudes. I like his attitude.

meeting him/them 2000 during the White Pony tour was a thrill of a life time and then 6 years after that outside Family Values 06 Chino riding around on a golf cart with Frank and the girl I was with jokingly asked "can we go with you" next thing I know i'm drinking free coronas talking to Chi about "Bamboo Parachute" hanging out on the tour bus till they went on!, didn't even have or need VIP ... Best band in the world never had or will have a weak album or seen a bad show. 17 years of my life as a hardcore fan of this band never disappointed or got too "Hollywood" like certain other bands. Highly recommend seeing them in a "small venue" it's a totally different and amazing experience when DEFTONES are the headliner!...You have to give them credit during the success of white pony they turned there back on certain MTV/music projects which is admirable to say the least...They are super loyal to there fan-base by design RIP CHI !

This is one of the best interviews ar the interviewers you can tell that they are into the music

Such an influential alternative/metal band from the 90's, Grew up listening to these guys, their music is so unique unlike any band. Amazing sound.

Chino didn't mention it, but I bet Rock In Rio 2001 is their proudest moment.

Peter Briceno because at that time it was the biggest crowd they ever performed in front of. First time they played in Brazil also. Have you seen the footage of that show? Amazing.

Can't wait for this album, Deftones are my favourite band of all time ❤️ I need to see them Live
