That has been the case for over 25 years. Somehow hard is more accepted in Holland. Or else the whole world would have lifted upon the gabber hype in 1995-1997. Dont preach, just enjoy the music and let everyone listen to the music they want.

A friend's dad who is in his late 40's told me that he didn't like hardstyle either. But then his son told him that it works great while jogging because the rhythm of the music has the same speed. So he tried doing that, and now a while later he wishes that he was of our age so he could join us to these festivals😂

@@sevendam9070 There's no age to go to DQ1, only stupid and limited people think like that. Just go, try it, you'll love and enjoy it for sure ^_^ I was there in 2018, it was my 4th DQ1, and it wasn't the best of the best endshows. The tickey money worth just for the endshows but DQ1 is much more than just that and it worth every token you need to spend there. :D Btw, you dont need ANY "substances" to enjoy music or music festivals, just grab a Beer, redbull, a few flugel, water and you are good to go :D Yes, you need water at DQ1, and the best is that the water and the re-fill is free and not from the WC's :p

You have to see this and feel it in your stomage. It's a great amazing show with lovely people. My children and many others where there. Every year!! It's a beautiful,magical, spiritual adventure. For a long weekend Thursday thill Sunday (weekend 4 days) it cost 175,00 euro.

I love to go to these festivals. Endshows are most of the time epic, as is the vibe in the crowd The endshows are so good because up to 50.000 people pay 80 to 100 euro 😅 Party's are mostly from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m. so you end with the big firework and laser show

Fun note btw about the Pinsir song, its named after the pokemon called ‘Pinsir’ and the crowd use their arms like they are pincers

I was lucky enough to be there in the crowd and i can proudly say this was the BEST Endshow they have ever put together

I go to Defqon since 2013. Every year the whole weekend. The Endshows are really something else. Just like Power Hour.

Tickets are every year within 1 hour sold out, WORLDWIDE. This is the biggest and most famous festival xD

we are a small country, but so big in making such parties. I still believe we are one of the best in the world to make a festival out of this world

Ain’t no party like a Q-dance party! Had an orange heart since 2004. Personally I think power hour is better then the end shows.🧡🧡

Power hour is a better experience if you are there in person, end shows have more of a WOW factor, so they look better in video than PH ;) But man, the feeling you get when power hour ends and you just laydown on the hills on the side of the stage is awesome.

Q-DANCEEEEE 🧡☢️ Man, I discovered Hardstyle back in 07-08 (MoonBoy, Pae and Sarah, Hardstyle shuffle comps anyone? 😂) and I fell in love instantly. Hardstyle changed my life!! Q-Dance and Hardstyle (including all sub genres of Hard Dance) has become something I’m so glad I’m getting to experience in my lifetime. This video made my insanely happy! It’s one thing to personally love something, yet another to see another person actually react like you! The smiles, the jaw drops, the energy behind all of that, just makes my soul happy! Cheers!! 🍻 8:13 is my favorite reaction 😄🍻

Every year it is, at least in my opinion, the greatest show of the year. Every year they’re make the show bigger, better and greater. No this is the official saturday endshow. Then we start sunday morning with the final day, and we will do this again at sundaynight. Then it is called the closing ritual. Defenitly recommend to react to those vids!

Oh Highly, love that childlike wonder in your eyes when they pick it up yet another notch. Puts all we Dutchies hold for granted back in perspective again. We don't expect anything less than this quality when we go to party.

The robotic sounds within the anthem (maximum force) relates back to one of the first anthems of the festival called: Scrap Attack by Headhunterz. The artist imagined Defqon.1 being a waste land full with scrap metal and a creature (made of the scrap) living with in that. Thus the robotic/metal sounds.

This one will always gives me chills! I WAS THERE!!! I love this thing, and it was only the end of ONE of Three days!!!! thanks for the memories!!

Didnt miss a Defqon since 2009, It's a religion🙌🙏

The reaction, you can tell you are new to the q dance music and scene. It's always nice to see a new member of the q-dance family. Their stages are always full of life. I remember my first time hearing alpha², zany, donkey rollers, technoboy, deepack, and Brennan heart at feestfabrek on recording. Then when I saw the videos it was awsome. Neophyte (as the beholder) TNT (technoboy and tuneboy) and Zany with his donkey rollers (neophyte, zany, and dv8) are still my favorite go to artists to this day. I like them all but zany has done it all, and that's why I favor him over most artists, but still. You can't fake the new hardstyle reaction.... if you are, your doing a damn good job of it

The endshow is closing the saturday. After this there’s one more day of defqon which will be ended with a “closing ceremony”. I actually was in this crowd. Such an experience!

Fun fact: This event lasts 4 days (was 3 days but they recently added a 4th), and on saturday (as you saw), this is the end of the day. After all day of party/music this is a cap of the night. There are like, 10+ stages all having their own time tables. This is the Red stage, or the Main stage at the festival. So imagine just how big this festival is!

It is a must see bro, definitely go there if you can. Make sure to check out the raw hardstyle stage while you're at it.

The end show is for the sound, light, fireworks crews to show off what they can do, and they do it well :-)

If you been partying from 10 am until 11 pm you don't have too much energy left to dance. Taking some shots to share is logical when standing still. There is 60.000 people in the crowd so if everyone records a little bit you will see thousands of phones at a time

@@MChagall it's not that i mind at all for myself. It was more of an advice. I started doing that a few years ago. I was so busy looking at the screen making sure the recording was perfect i kinda 'forgot' to actually enjoy what was in front of me. I do not even bring a smartphone anymore. I have an old simple festival phone with a prepaid sim. My friends can ring or send an old school sms text message if they need me. I'm listed as Xander Festival in their phones :)

Defqon is 12 kilometers from my home, because the Netherlands is so flat I can hear it every year (normally) in my backyard

If I'm right, this concert was in Biddinghuizen. And guess what... that is in Flevoland so it is on "reclaimed land" as explained in your reaction to the "Geography Now" video.

Defqon1 was in the past a 3 day music festival and I heard that they spend between 1-2 million euro that weekend on the fireblasts and firework on all the stages they have. Next year it will be for the first time a 4 day festival

About your comment on the mind altering substances; you can find two hands full of people who are not on it, everyone else is under the influence of some kind of dope haha. And it's tolerated by the security people, because they know if they enforce strictly on it, there will be no people left haha. Even better are the Dutch gabber parties. Gabber was a hype in the 90's. Party's like Thunderdome, Masters of Hardcore, and more ofcourse. Today the day it is still a huge scene, cultural heritage you could say.
