Definitely not what I expected

What’s up guys it’s your boi Polish Bullitt here 💪
Another day at the dragstrip, honestly I expect to get a better time thanks to good DA but unfortunately my tires didn’t like cold weather and were spinning to high havens haha. Enjoy watching my struggle 😉

    Interesting,. Good to the dif runs n lil adjustments you made. But yeah I see lots of ppl online getting 18s for tires. I might consider doing that too at some point. I also wanna get the engine mounts. I haven’t been to any tracks or 1/4 mile tracks. Maybe next yr. But I’ve driven it hard here n there. Fun as hell.

    It fun that’s for sure 🙂 yeah I know a lot of people go with 18s but I really like a look of 19s on my car, besides it’s not like this car is my main drag car or something otherwise I would go with 17s haha

    @@PolishBullitt taller sidewall with more flex is the only reason, if your going to do that then go down to 16's and get a softer drag radial rated tire, WAIT oh yea we don't really burn the tires up at start so that is a waiste as well isn't it 0_o. LOL If you go smaller diameter just go for something that is much lighter, toss on 2 sticky softer tires and hope they grip up. You'll get better than the pilot's but then again I like to know "like you" what my daily does and last i checked i am not running track only tires on the street lol. If i was going for some type of record pulling 12's / 11's then yea lets talk dumping 800 into front tires/rims

    @laural7449 yeah brother 100% if anything I might grab two wheels with some stickier tires just to have fun, cause I’m not going for any records here haha, that’s how it starts and then you end up with a car that is not drivable on the street haha 😆

    The thing i tried a few weeks ago was I did a run when it wasn't busy, ran back the line and did a 2nd run when my tires were a bit warm from the 100mph previous run lol, worked but not great hahah @@PolishBullitt

    Using those tires in that temperature is like trying to run the 100 meter dash in high heels. Too low temps dude. Plus with your piggyback the wheel spin will be way worse due to the power increase. May want to use your boomba mount for the track since it will control wheel hop a lot better than the powerflex bushings.

  • @PolishBullitt

    @PolishBullitt

    Yeah I thought about boomba mount after the fact 😆 I knew there will be wheel spin but did know it’s gonna be that bad haha besides my Michelins are already worn so I will be getting a new set for next season, but just wanted to go with style you know haha 😆

    Tires need to be at 27psi minimum for the front, black bushings is a must and don't use launch control. Only give 3/4 throttle 1st gear

    My tires are basically dead so that was like a last send off for them haha I tried without launch control and that was the biggest spinfest in my life haha

    I told you those bushings were too soft, you should have used the race compound black bushings. Man up 💪and put the Boomba racing mount back in. Even my wife who drives a big soft Range Rover doesn't think the vibration is bad in my car at all and I have the Boomba mount with the black power Flex top bushing.

    Man up haha that’s funny boomba would be definitely better for this but as a daily driver bushings are better/smoother for sure. I got all of them black except dogbone which is purple

    @user-us9jo6xu7z lol I’m not giving anybody any excuse brother, just with my driving and a lot of city I feel like bushings are a better option for me that’s all but I might come back to boomba if I do more spirited driving or racing

    Hey Polish, how does launch control work for you? For some reason when I press activate on my car, it just doesn't engage. Do I turn off auto creep and slam onto the brake to engage it? Otherwise I don't think mine works.

  • @user-us9jo6xu7z

    @user-us9jo6xu7z

    7 ай бұрын

    You don't need to disable auto creep that has nothing to do with the launch control. You just push the brake as hard as you can and stab the gas pedal.

  • @PolishBullitt

    @PolishBullitt

    7 ай бұрын

    No brother you don’t have to turn off auto creep cause I have mine on and it works no problem, but for some reason it happens that when you drive for a longer period of time you might have to turn off your car and start it back on and then it works

  • @PolishBullitt

    @PolishBullitt

    Yeah you have to push brake hard and quickly hit the accelerator to engage it

    Yeah Marsin, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s w/30K on them AND 45 degrees isn't a good combo but the gain of 3 mph shows the gain of the piggyback, I feel 110 mph is in there📢

  • @klasseact6663

    @klasseact6663

    7 ай бұрын

    @PolishBullitt yeah 12.5 is possible w/1.8 60ft so I'd look for more in the 12.7-12.8 area. If a solid mid 12 second pass is a goal, 18's with actual drag radials is key.

    To much power to the wheel that is the reason you spin more than stock . So maybe reducing the launch control to the lowest or taking it easy on the take off. Because it’s seems you got less wheel hop and spin with the old stock version . Also tires have to do something with it

  • @PolishBullitt

    I tried lowest setting which is 2500 and still craziness haha, no man just a last send off for Michelins cause their are worn and 45 degree weather made it impossible to beat any type of record of mine haha 😉

    increased torque at the 2500+ rpm range causing hard pulls, launch isn't our problems in the N and N lines its that damn torq curve they designed it to have. I ran my tires down to 20lbs on a hot prepped track and at the lowest launch it still pulls and spings at the 60' mark if the prep is not stupid sticky. I mean on the street my sonata can make the summer tires cry at 40 mph with a jb4
