Problem is the judge is filtering the witnesses' statement to only allow the prosecution to put out misinformation and not allowing the defense to put out the truth. I hope the judge will consider dropping this case due to lack of evidence before the jury has to vote on it. I hope that is the real reason for the 8-day break.

You think the jury should be "forced" to decide their verdict before the weekend? That's insanity. Are you hosts even following this trial? There is not time enough for closing statements from both teams plus jury instructions from the judge and deliberation all before the weekend. So rather than have a four day break somewhere in between all that it will instead all be done next week which is fairer to all parties concerned.
