Defender 110 Off Road - 4x4 Wheeny Creek

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this 4x4 video we have the green tractor Land Rover 110 County (Defender) taking on the Gees Arm South Trail (Wheeny Creek). This was filmed on the same day as our previous video "Jeep 4x4 Battle - JK vs JKU Part 1" on the same trail. Be sure to check it out • Jeep Wrangler 4x4 Batt...
The Land Rover 110 (Defender) did a great job and I couldn't be happier with its performance over some big rock steps and how it crawled everything in its path.
Be sure to drop us a comment and let us know how you think the Land Rover performed. We would like to hear your thoughts on any improvements in both driving style or vehicle modifications.
Gees Arm South (Wheeny Creek) has some very large rock steps and steep climbs. The terrain is covered with loose dry sand that makes traction for a 4wd somewhat difficult. Some extreme offroad sections that require some level off experience to get through undamaged. Wheeny Creek has caused a lot of damage to many 4wds including roll overs.
We hope you enjoy watching the Land Rover 110 County (Defender) do its thing in this 4x4 video. Give us a thumbs up or thumbs down and leave us a comment letting us know your thoughts on this 4x4 video.
We release new 4wd videos every Saturday 6pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Subscribe and hit the notification bell to watch our upcoming 4x4 videos.

    Of all the thousands of offroad Landrover videos on youtube that I have seen, I don't think I have observed a better set up Landy for crawling. This one does everything so well without being so compromised that you couldn't use it as a daily driver. You could happily drive this one to the shops. The driver has talent as well which really helps. That diesel engine chucking out loads of torque at low revs, a good engine guvenor and the right ratio gears proves that you don't need 250hp plus and 4000 revs like many folks believe you do. It would be great to see how it handles mud or snow,

    Yet again awesome, both the camera work and the 110 beast. Two things on the green 110 I have not picked up on earlier videos, the sneaky Cummins badge on the back and although its a 110 County, it has vents? so either a rare non a/c model or the firewall was replaced with a later Defender one?

  • @lror

    @lror

    6 жыл бұрын

    Aztech 4x4 mechanical you got eyes like a hawk, your the first to notice the C badge. As for the vents i thought the continued through till 89 while this county is an 85 example with no aircon. My understanding is aircon was an optional extra (in Australia atleast) and having aircon added did not delete the vents.

  • @aztech4x4mechanical

    @aztech4x4mechanical

    6 жыл бұрын

    The 110 County era if fitted factory with aircon it was integrated into the dash which deleted the vents. Not many in Australia weren't air con'd. The later Defender 200tdi during the early 90's was the return of the vents as the air con unit was an under dash style. Now that the cat is out of the bag with regards to your green 110, you will have to do a video on its specs!!

    Great video! Thanks for the upload! Very nice 110 LR. I have a 110 30p tdi myself. From the looks of it you have diff locker s front and rear right? What type are you running? ARB? I was told that that if you install lockers the half shafts should be upgraded. Have you done this? Best regards Daniel

  • @lror

    @lror

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching and you are correct its twin locked. Im running a Detroit auto locker in the rear and an Ashcroft air locker in the front. Generally speaking upgrading axles is a good idea when locked although if your running smaller tyres you should be fine with standard half shafts. In my case ive gone chromoly axles and cv's. Hope this helps.
