So far it's generally been for the better but it could go either way with the current trend towards automation of everything from labour to accounting to artistic jobs. Maybe we'll look back and see the wisdom of the Amish when it's too late, or maybe we'll end up in a Utopia and think of the past the same way we currently look at mediaeval times. Time will tell.

I tried to tell the Amish about bitcoin, and that was before I understood bsv vs btc. It’s funny because they didn’t want anything to do with these technologies supposedly but they use a local bank which uses the same type of security algorithms except less “off grid” because they’re dependent on other entity’s decisions It’s not just the Amish, it’s how everyone thinks in these big companies, too. My brother-in-law tried to tell a Christian university about using Linux instead of Microsoft, but they would rather pay for a service and be dependent on some company then get code which is there for free and updated by the entire community.

I pay for Microsoft cause it's indeed bring value, like network printing, cloud storage, security among other stuff. Linux is nothing but hassle and learning curve unless you got Valve to customize and support that with probable reason: aka gaming. These are things that Linux dedicator don't understand. Any problem I have with OS system, there are likely much more knowledge resources out there on a more popular OS system
