I stumbled upon your podcast yesterday as I am trying to find my faith again after my life has been full of loss and hardships over the last 3 years. Starting with hurricane laura taking my home to a month after the hurricane I unexpectedly lost my mother. Hearing this pod has literally given me so much strength and hope that God has me and that everything is going to be okay. Now I remember he is always and has always been with me. Even though I have not been the best daughter to him through all of these hard times, he forgives me and I am allowed to forgive myself. Thank you so much Sadie and thank you Lisa for all of your wisdom and love

Hey Lisa, YES, a fellow late-blooming doctoral student! (Not late for God, but late for man). Anyway, the suffix -im, as in Elohim, indicates a plural in Hebrew, so yes, there is so much in the Bible that shows that plurality. Some argue that it was common and perhaps still is to use that suffix to give a sense of greatness to an individual. I have much work to do on that, because that does not eliminate the fact that the -im suffix is always used in one way OR the other, but can be either one or both! I don't know anyone amongst believers and Bible scholars who study from a linguistic perspective, so I love that you mention this!

Theology is for old white guys, but more then old white guys. God is the God of love and righteousness. God is real and impacting. There are people that claim to be Christians, but do not have a relationship with God.
The Hebrew god of the Bible, Yahweh, loves everybody and tells Bible stories about Himself that spreads wisdom and makes children laugh. Those who disagree and point out that Yahweh is an angry and jealous god who drowns unborn babies, and commands genocide are misunderstanding the context in which they were written.

I love Lisa Harper which is why I watched this. I've never watched one of Sadie's videos. Did she seriously have at least 3 sponsorships in there?????? Absolutely not. That is really excessive. I hope that is not her norm because that comes across very greedy
