People outside Canada aren't exposed to Canadian artists unless they live near the border and can pick up our radio stations. That's all there is to it. American radio stations are biased against playing any Canadian bands. They just won't do it. If you look at the Canadians who make it big in the US, they all have to LEAVE Canada (and usually become American citizens) BEFORE they achieve that peak level of success. It's rare for someone to remain in Canada and also get that international acclaim.

This entire album is amazing! Default had the misfortune to have a label that didn’t promote them.

Dallas Smith has a one-of-a-kind voice. Should 100% be more famous. Sounds so much better than 90% of today's "talent".

Man......Canada sure had some killer bands in the late 90's and early 00's.

Default, State of shock, Nickelback, Metric, our Lady peace, Simple Plan, Sum 41, Finger Eleven, Theroy Of a Deadman, Three days Grace, Hedley, Billy Talent, Avril Lavinge lol pretty extensive catalog from 1995- 2005. Hell even Triumph and Rush are Canadian

I love the way these bands like Default, Fuel, Sevendust, Nickelback, Lifehouse, Staind, Stone Temple Pilots, do what they love which is real music with such a dedication, passion and heart. Not that fake ass Auto Tune shit some do nowadays.

Can you imagine, this generation won't have anything to call classic music, cause after that comment things like Migos, Lil Uzi, Lil Pump, Travis Scott, Tekashi, non of that will be remembered at all and cant be either cause they arent memorable at all. Its more and more garbage.

Powerful lyrics. This song reminds me of my wife and all the support she has given me through my life.

Default carried me through the break up of a long term relationship. It's been well over a decade and I've happily moved on completely, but they will always hold a special place in my heart and mind for guiding me through that time in my life.

What an amazing song! Powerful lyrics! Great voice and musicianship! Great groove! Actually made me think of my 10 year old son and how I am here for him no matter what!!!

In all honesty, his voice does sound like a mixture of a country singer and rock singer.

This and "Wasting My Time" ruled my summer while 16

Great song by one of the most under rated rock bands in Canada... Dallas has an amazing voice .... It is sad that Default is defunct but I am happy for Dallas with his success in country music.

He did a show in Winnipeg a few years ago......first set was country and then Default took the stage. It was EPIC

This song definitely helped me when I was going through some hard depression. I listen to the song and listen to the lyrics to remind myself how much it helped.

I still follow him as cluntry singer. I had the chance to meet him and his crew after a show in Quebec with my wife and oldest daughter!!!!! Such great people.

Dallas Smith has a voice like no other artist. I don't hate on Nickelback like other people do but Dallas voice is on another level. Two totally different sounds

Nah both great in there own ways. Chad is more of a baritone with more rasp but Dallas has a bit more range

This is the song that won me over with me with my husband of 12 years. I left 2 years of abuse when he sent me a mix CD with this song on it. It meant a lot to me because of what I have been through. 12 years later we have 2 children on top of my son that he accepted as his own.

I listen to heavy metal mostly, I prefer aggressive music, but this song when I first heard it really did evoke an emotional response. Hope 3 years after that 12 things are still great for you both!

It's an injustice that this song only spent 2 weeks on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart peaking at #39.

Dallas was awesome with Default. And at least Dallas Work with Default and as a country artist has meaning in their songs, unlike over half the new music they play now a days.

Saw him at the Harrow Fair a few days ago promoting his new Country album, he played this, Wasting My time and Deny along with the country hit, and they sounded better than on the album tracks. Truly incredible.

2022 still coming back to this Gem, hopefully i'll be back with great news later in the year. Wish me luck!
