the fashion on these dolls are a lot better than what Barbie is releasing today. I wish that Barbie would go back to when Fashion Avenue is available. the clothes of Fashion Avenue are very pretty. However, my mom and cousins (who works at a garment factory at the time) would actually sew all my Barbies clothes back then. I hope I'll still be able to retrieve some of them.

Thank you for putting the big hair girl on a curvy body. When you were considering Tamika, I was saying oh no no no. That head is too big for that body. All the heads seem larger than a standard Barbie’s head. But I’ve never seen the Defa Lucy dolls in person.

You could add a bit of glue inside the redhead's head (I think fabric glue is fine, just a thin layer, you can spread it with a qtip, so as not to make the head harder, I think I saw that in a video of a rerooting) if you are afraid she'll shed more. Love your videos!

I love the blue haired one. I'm not usually a fan of fantasy type dolls, but she rocks. I laughed when you talked about not restyling her hair. I've seen so many dolls wrecked when the owner tries to improve them. Now off to find a MTM body. Only downside to these dolls is you pay twice to get the doll you want.

I remember Defa Lucy selling fashion packs as well but they're terribly hard to find, I think you have to buy it directly from the Defa Lucy factory. I really regret not buying the fashion packs when it was available in our mall, like, they looked so good and were 75% cheaper than the barbie fashion packs but I didn't have money that time. It went out of stock really fast and the mall didn't restock😢

Amount of hair redhead was losing was scary! Love that you kept the Beauty’s hairstyle and I’m obsessed with her. She looks good tall. I think Fashion girl might actually have her face skin tone more suited to the made to move than her original body! Look put on her is so amazing and comfy. I’m excited about some of their fashions they come with and it’s great to see the Real Littles shoes. This was a fun video.

Nice lookbooks) The more I look at these dolls, the more I think, they has a JHDFashiondoll (MIZI) Anna May face mold, and also similar face screening. I've compared the blue hair Lucy to my Anna May and it looks like Lucy head is just bigger, but molds are very similar)

So I sat down to re-do some dolls and what do I see? An Arjen video! I just started watching and there is a notification that my Defa Lucy had arrived. I got to unbox mine while watching you! I did not know about paper bag techinque - good to know. I had heard the hair was not great and that a boil was would fry them, but you proved that wrong! Great video as always. I loved my 2 and might purchase more.

The girls are so nice there is a Mariposa Dandelion doll who looks like the one with the apricot hair color the tweed is good quality. I didnt know about Defa Lucy but I got the Lola Latina Barbie she has a thick body with custom size boot because the other shoes wont fit them. I also got a 3/8 inch curling iron for the doll hair because the styles are not simple to do.

I took the director from that movie set hair down. Just boiled washed it let it dry then I just picked the curls with a comb. She looks so much better. She's now my second favorite from the set behind the movie star. Took her out of that fake denim jumpsuit it's so much uglier in person.

I saw them on Shein and I ordered them. They came in a plastic envelope and the box are all squashed. Luckily the dolls survived. I took them out of the box and omg their hair is so soft! I can't stop touching their hair. I have the hippie girl and the twisted braids with formal clothes girl. I also ordered the denim series which I think is a new series. Their makeup is so pretty and surprisingly their box is not dented at all. I haven't taken them out of the box since they look so good in the box. I only took out the "Barbie Extra" ones and play with them. Their body is a little wonky imo, their joints are a little weak so I'm not sure if I'm going to purchase the rest of them. I'm still thinking about it 🤔

Tall barbie body types also have bigger feet :( You might also want to lookup Alisha dolls. Pretty similar. I've seen them in store and the dolls do look solid. I just didnt find one that I like the fashion of to test out, but its defo on the wish list.
