Def Jam: Fight for NY is the sequel to Def Jam Vendetta, a hip hop-influenced 3D action game released for the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox and is followed by Def Jam: Icon. The game features several rappers, including Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, Fat Joe, Ice-T, Xzibit, N.O.R.E, Ludacris, and Busta Rhymes, as well as the voices and likeness of other actors and celebrities, among them actors Omar Epps, Christopher Judge, Danny Trejo, Carmen Electra, and Kimora Lee Simmons. DMX, Keith Murray, Christina Milian and Funkmaster Flex were the only artists from the original game that did not appear in the sequel. The game was spun off into a 2006 PlayStation Portable game called Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover. The game takes place in New York City.
Def Jam Fight for NY takes the battle for hip-hop domination into the fighting ring. More than 35 hip-hop artists and personalities--including Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Sean Paul, Slick Rick, and Snoop Dogg--face off in brutal wrestling matches. In the ring and on the streets, you'll join the battle as a New York City street fighter. The game challenges you to develop your own fighting style and seize control of the hip-hop underworld.

I recorded this a while back, just never uploaded it I still need to finish a little more but I just upload games, gameplay and playthroughs. You already know I got a ton of video games just need to play them and record and upload is all. I mean seriously people could be like play this game and I most likely got it haha. No occasion though, I did Def Jam Vendetta a few months back and I started to record this like 3 months ago and got little over 50% into the game so still got a little bit.
Yeah when they released the Def Jam Icon it was a serious let down compared to the last two. I think overall I like Def Jam Vendetta better because it's more like wrestling like WWF No Mercy. Appreciate your feedback!

This game has one of the best character creation systems ever. And the fact you get 5 different voices for an entire character? Even RPGS don't allow that kind of customization.
I was just making sure I had him the way I wanted him. I'm fully aware it doesn't look like him in the cut scenes and load screens. Some what resembles him, during the game it looks like him while your fighting. It's not going to be perfect but ran with what I could.
All good, I've had most of it recorded for like 3 months I gotta finish the last bit but have enough for a few parts.

Just a curious question since I never had the pleasure of playing this beat-em-up. How tall can you make your custom characters? I'm a big guy myself, so I'm always partial toward making bigger characters in games that allow for creation.
i remember whe dad got this for me my god i love this game so much but is so sad that is only for ps 2 i do not have it anymore :(

I know none of these voice sound like Tupac, but the closest voice that sounds like him is more of the smooth voice.

I recorded this playing on the Original Xbox using a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition. I mostly use the Elgato Game Capture and Elgato Game Capture HD 60 now.

None of them voices are even close to Tupac, so I went with whatever. What I should have did was took some parts out of movies and interviews and had his voice over the game instead of the bull shit they give you. With KZread's Copyright bull shit might not be a good look.
