I fell the worst when a brilliant singer like Javed Ali was made anchor in a singing reality show. However, I am glad now that the industry knows the worth of his voice quality.

In an interview around 15 years ago, late SP Balu recounted this song and its effect on him. He said while going to school through a jungle, he would sit under a tree and sing this song and where the words/murkian "li pyaar ne angdaayi" would come, he would cry out of pure bliss. Music has different effects on different people. As Bob Marley said, "you feel no pain with music".

Javed Ali reminded me of the golden days of our childhood. MD Rafi the singer will always be in my heart.

When in my youth , we had cassette players. I had nearly a100 cassettes of Mohd Rafi, Mukesh, Talat, Hemant, : Javed Ali and Muktar Shah are today great voices of M.Rafi and Mukesh.

The singers sang the duet magnificently. The orchestra was icing on the cake. Late OP Nayyar Sahib would have been very glad to listen to the nice combination had he been alive. Well done.
