I got a request to make a Deepforces bass. Deepforces music is what slowly introduced me into the harder styles. But I have never been too familiar with how he made his basslines, they sound quite unique (at least I've never heard music from someone else that has the same style of bassline), so I was not sure if I was going to be able to make it. I first tried to do it in the Viper vst, but Viper was too limited for me to use for this type of sound. So I decided to use Serum instead, which I don't use very much but in this case Serum was the best choice I had available.
I don't know how Deepforces made his basslines, I listened to a couple of his basslines and then guessed my way until I achieved something similar. To me the Deepforces bassline sounds like a supersaw bassline that is in mono and is playing a fifth (+7 semitones up from the root note) chord. Thanks to the unison stacking feature in Serum, I could layer the oscillators so both of them would play a fifth chord at the same time without changing the root note (A#). I then sampled the sound and did some time-stretching to it to make it sound the way I wanted it to. Then I just added some basic effects to make it sound fuller and wider so it would fit the kick a bit better.
Of course my bassline doesn't sound exactly like his, but it sounds similar in my opinion. This was my approach to it, I hope you'll like it!
