Haha totally I had an hour stretch there where I was on fire. Too bad it didn’t keep up as much later in the tournament
For the 89cc hand, IMO check-raise the flop since he leads into it. Donk-leading the turn is better considering they are likely to check back since 3 clubs is on the board.

Yeah I definitely thought about taking both those actions. On the flop, when EP raises over a limp, then continues on that flop into 3 other people, i weight him very heavily toward overpairs. Check raising flop at that depth would’ve likely sent us all in in a 50/50 scenario; which I’m normally okay with, but I wanted to preserve tournament life. The turn I definitely could have donked, but stack size was awkward as it probably would’ve had to be a shove. I decided to see how it played out in the moment; clearly I didn’t like the 4th club though. Who knows, if I took either of those lines I may very well have just gotten stacked right then and there

Curious if on the 8/9 clubs hand, if you thought he was a solid player and how deep he was? Just curious. He most likely had a better club but if he was competent and deeper as well, then perhaps it's a call in the future but prob the shove on the turn might have been better.
@BrantzenPoker
2 жыл бұрын
Hmm he had me covered but I didn’t think of him as an overly aggressive player. Standard range type player who I think 90% had me beat there with a better club
@BrantzenPoker

I could be wrong, but yeah, maybe turn shove would’ve been best. Though in that situation, I might’ve gotten stacked had I taken that line anyway

Congratulations to huge win! 😫 I know where you can get more than 8 free spins.Best choice. Actually, each machine is a maximum payout so if it went over like in these cases, they should be given a maximum machine payout.
Nice…
Never should check the turn of first hand, some hand with A/K/Q of clubs even overpair still gonna call you can you can decide what to do when the river comes. But with your hand, it's 100% a donk lead

I feel you - the biggest thing holding me back was stack depth, as my only move pretty much would be a jam on turn

Hahaha but seriously, noted, I’ll probably do a poll to see what people think
Looking back at your video I don’t like the first hand JJ fold while you may be flipping JJ is a premium and you are ahead of all the underpairs that he could be 4 bet jamming with and he’s never doing this with QQ-AA
@BrantzenPoker
5 ай бұрын
Yeah I feel you - but I would also disagree, I think he can still be taking this line with QQ and KK, maybe not aces
@slayxx871
5 ай бұрын
@@BrantzenPoker if stacks were tighter I would tend more to agree with you but when stacks start at 50k and blinds are this small I can hardly believe he would take this line with big hands like that
@BrantzenPoker
5 ай бұрын
@@slayxx871ehhhh I mean we’re working off of 55 BB stacks effectively. It definitely is a pretty big shove probably leaning more towards AK, but still think QQ and KK are possible. If he opened later, like HJ, CO, or BTN, I would be snap calling a 4 bet jam
@slayxx871
5 ай бұрын
@@BrantzenPoker also you have to consider position you 3 bet from the CO which you can be doing with bluff hands like A10 A5 suited etc… so him 4 bet ripping with pocket pairs under yours or overcards is a profitable play for him cause he gets you to fold out those hands with equity.. he’s also out of position and would rather 4 bet rip than call a 3 bet out of position. I’ve seen this play a lot and JJ has to be a call here regardless if you are flipping or not. Now if he raised UTG and you were UTG +2 and 3 bet and he ripped I could consider folding because your 3 bet in that position looks super strong but positions matter here
@BrantzenPoker

@slayxx871 any 3 bet against an EP raiser should be pretty strong IMO
